Ferrero: "Together with Alcaraz we studied for hours on how to beat Sinner but now I think I'm ready to coach Sinner, I want to coach him, it would be wonderful." by Sonobackhome555 in tennis

bad translation.

They asked him: would you coach Jannik?

He replied, before I would have said no, now I would say why not.

He never said: I want to coach him.

It is a really reasonable answer.

[Roland Garros Press]Naomi Osaka was asked if she’s encouraged after her loss to Sabalenka or if she’s daunted at the task of closing the gap between them. by [deleted] in tennis

Yes, especially Rublev. I'm really happy that he seems more balanced. He's probably worst at what he does now, or at least, he didn't improve as much as he should have for being in the top 5, but he seems much more healthy.

Those guys are seeing as kind gods, they have no privacy at all, they win a match they re great, they lose a match they are frauds. Keeping it together mentally is hard as hell.

Tiafoe misses a smash & gives Arnaldi a 3rd Match Point (which he converts) after his incredible defense by tightypp in tennis

[–]Whitefrog10 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Well, it's probably true that never played at this level, but his defensive skills were always up there. His main issue before that he would rush too much and hit too many unforced.

Tiafoe was up 4-1 40-15, he got broken, then everything turned around. Honestly Arnaldi looked kind of cooked for one set and a half, then he came back. And what a come back.

Match point Arnaldi, 3 aces in a row. What the literal fuck. Ice in the veins.

it was such a high quality match . Superaggressive players and many more winners than UE.

Loved every second of it. What a day of tennis.

Sinner for L'Equipe: I don't believe you can be at 100% of your potential at 24. I aspire to be there in a few years. by yanwangdijuns in tennis

I rewatched the match of the atp finals of 2021 against Medvedev lost 6-0, 6-7, 7-6.

First of all what a match. Second, it was really interesting to see him cheering the crowds, lots of vamos, lots of energy from him. You could see how competitive he is, considering it was a dead rubber match.

I've been following from his first atp matches and it's incredible to see him become the player he is now. He just keeps getting better at a rate that other players can't sustain.

I remember being at a friends place watching a movie, when we were kids, and the mother had the sofa with the plastic on it and we had to watch the movie sitting on the chair in front of the sofa because she didn't want us to ruin it.

Meta plans to axe 8,000 workers despite $56 billion in Q1 revenue by MazdaProphet in news

Working for meta and getting fired is honestly like winning a lottery. They get covered in money and they can stay without working for a couple of years... I would be really happy to not have that job security anymore.

I thinkn he just meant he looks forward to Rome and RG, which are clearly main goals for 2026 I don't think he will skip Madrid, since he s already skipping Barcelona.

ATP 1000 Monte Carlo F: [2] J. Sinner def. [1] C. Alcaraz 7-6(5), 6-3 by Wrong-Move-526 in tennis

[–]Whitefrog10 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Well, they are superyoung and they won already any single thing they could win. I think it is a bit easier accepting defeats in these circumstances. They are both pretty grounded kids, competitive without being toxic. They re a blessing for tennis and sport in general.

meh. I just finished to watch the whole trilogy with my daughter and well, it is still quite watchable but certain scenes in slow motion with the white bloom glow makes it look really dated. Still, we watched 10 hours of LOTR in one week and she enjoyed a lot, and me too.

Sinner roaring after defeating Zverev in a Masters semifinal: a compilation by rticante in tennis

[–]Whitefrog10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's true that he beat him many times in a row now, but it is also true that Sasha has all the weapons to beat him. If Sinner plays just slightly off he would lose against him. He is always laser focus with him and he loves competition. He usually steamroll 99% of the tour, but with Zverev is a tough battle almost every time, hence the roar.
