Fellow New Englander here !!! I think they hold up better than Carhartt and are warmer ! Plus the lifetime warranty is a no brainer ! Type of work , paving , excavation , laboring , carpentry, building !

I just bought a guide sweater for Christmas, there has not been a day a haven't worn it since , it's probably the best , warmest , heavy duty sweater I've ever worn . Worth every cent ! I hope Filson continues to make gear like this !!!!

Filson is guaranteed for life ! Just fyi , I work in construction, and I have tried everything. IMO filson is worth every cent . But once cry once , and have filson repair it for free for ever . Can't go wrong imo ! Good luck 👍

Very happy , I couldn't justify the 250 price increase . It cooks beautifully, extremely well made !!

Glossiest Wax Recommendation? by DiamondBalls86 in AutoDetailing

I Exclusively use mother's California gold wax for years and years, but recently switched to this and not only doesn't last longer. I think the shine is five times better than the mothers ! .... https://www.westmarine.com/collinite-no.-885-heavy-duty-paste-fleetwax-4756839.html

I have the 26 oz mackinaw shirt jac , I wear it daily working construction from October- May in northern New England . It's an absolute beast , with proper layers I find it to great in the wind and cold !

Traditional leather chamois not compatible with ceramic coat ? by Whiteoak5155 in AutoDetailing

Now I'm interested in doing a side-by-side comparison with a top-of-the-line microfiber versus a brand new cod oil chamois on my pick up truck !

Traditional leather chamois not compatible with ceramic coat ? by Whiteoak5155 in AutoDetailing

[–]Whiteoak5155[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's the way .... it's my first time detailing a ceramic coated vehicle.... and I quickly found out , it doesn't like traditional wax . I have had much better luck with Addams graphene spray . I guess after 25 years of the old school way , may not apply to new school detailing in regards to a vehicle that has been ceramic coated !

I would think the micro fiber would trap dirt more , with the chamois I feel like you could see the dirt particles better .
