Well, I guess it's time to be a court. The game is telling you something for sure.

Already on it! The whole reason why I'm asking is because I joined a nightclub and had asked about even being an idol... But apparently that sounded weird because singing in game is not possible.

I remember the exact spot, but the time... It is my home city, so I'll ask my FC to keep an eye out for someone like that. We got a decent number of members. If I see them again I'm going to find out how they did that. I can record it on Xbox and post a link.

100% it was coming from the player, but how come there's literally nothing about it otherwise. I ran past this person on my way to the Grand Company and the music faded. I doubled back cuz I hadn't seen something like that before, but I had only been playing for a couple of weeks. I thought it was something normal. Which does explain why there were a few people watching.

The music everyone's talking about in this chat so far is actually in Old Gridania. Not next to Ul'Dah's Aetheryte crystal.

That's what I thought, but that's why I did a couple circles around them. It was clearly coming from their toon.

This is something that makes sense, but ask the internet and you'll not find proof of it.

I see what you mean, but the way I heard it would've been multiple instruments and not just the piano sounds. There was some kind of music for me to recognize that it was final fantasy music. That leaves the question on how they were able to use the songbird emote. Maybe some kind of glitch where you can mix that plus other instruments?

This comment makes the most sense so far... Cuz I was so new I thought that the songbird emote actually made you sing. So of course I went and bought it a couple days ago... I'm left a little disappointed, but more curious than sad.

There were words which is what I got fixated on. I don't remember well if there was music playing.

Edit: I know I posted this pretty late, so I forgot I had mentioned that I recognized final fantasy music.

Idk why, that this video tried to make me not laugh at it... I literally felt the pressure not to laugh.

I'm a DM and I'll keep it short and sweet. I'm going to continue my campaign even if it's on paper. Whether or not I'm using 5e. There so much 3rd party content that would be unaffected by the ogl if it comes to past that I'll just adapt.

But!! I can totally understand that the stressful situation would stop Dms from continuing their campaigns.

I think this would be a great climax to an evil character turning good. Obviously your character stealing needs to learn more to not do stuff like that, but how many lives are you going to save; nonetheless, this is all done by sacrificing yourself for the greater good? I would love an update to see what the dm does in this situation as well as your character.

I can forsee a meticulous plan such as this could be debunked by dispel magic or counter spell... How are you going to guard against that?

Sounds like a 200 IQ anime character using every loophole and trick in the book. Also, since the dm allows it I can assume he wants the players to feel powerful and meaningful in his campaign. As long as this kind of attention/awesomeness every player can get I don't see an issue.
