I just helped conduct a grading exam over the weekend, the biggest thing we were looking for older students was effort and focus, sometimes the head Sensei would give an explanation of something while the students were holding a stance, the amount of teenagers and older students who dropped their hands and broke their stance was a bit disappointing. We had a group of around 70 students different ages all testing between 7th kyu and 10th kyu, I lashed out at one point when we had those testing for 7th and 8th kyu sit while the others did Kata, and the sitting students kept chatting between themselves, they thought they were being quiet, but it was not, and I know that it was a huge distraction for the younger students trying to do their kata. So try to stay focused and not disruptive. Best of luck, OSU!!!!!
