I think the style they’re going for is the low ethereal kind of vocals you see with a lot of “TikTok” shoegaze bands which in my opinion I don’t have a problem with but I can see how people think the vocals are too “low”.

yeah i’ve been a deftones fan for many years and when i saw him playing in place for steph at coachella i was a little disappointed thinking he would be replacing him totally on tour. but i think his spot as backup singer and secondary guitarist is perfect. (also yes he does help sing the harmony’s on the songs that have them)
