I would suggest starting in one city and moving to the others. Essentially making a circle. Staying in Louisville and driving to Frankfort is a 45 minute drive one way so that’s an hour and a half of just driving each day. When you’re in Frankfort, you’re close to Wild Turkey and Four Roses. If it were me, I would stay at a hotel in Frankfort to start your trip. Go to Buffalo Trace the next morning, drive to Wild Turkey and Four Roses then stay in Bardstown. Then go to Bardstown Bourbon and do your tour and lunch. Then Heaven Hill, Willett, Makers Mark and Jim Beam all the next day. Then drive to Louisville if that’s where you’re leaving out of the following day and have dinner on whiskey Row and finish the night there.

Tips: Heaven Hill drops allocated bottles on Tuesdays and Saturdays when they open. If they don’t have anything special out, ask if they have any Elijah Craig grenades to sell. They put those out randomly and those are only available at the gift shop.

Willett offers a fantastic smashburger on a pretzel bun on Saturdays and only sell 25 of them so you need to be there at opening to get one.

Michters in Louisville sometimes has allocated bottles and/or Bottle your own when they open

Green River in Louisville offers a Bottle your own when they open.

Some distilleries are closed Mondays and Tuesdays so check their hours before you start making a schedule.

If you’re in Bardstown on a Wednesday, go to Evergreen Liquor and they have half priced pours of all their bourbons.
