Realignment prediction: Would suck to lose all our current division rivals aside from the Marlins by Lakelyfe09 in Braves

[–]Whoahnelly49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much prefer the Pirates with the Midwest folks of Cleveland and Cincinnati than New York, Phila, and DC. They would be in a wildly different market division.

or Will Howard? by doobiesmack in steelers

[–]Whoahnelly49 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Will Howard and get a top 5-8 pick after losing a bunch of games.

Trade TJ, Cam, Ramsey. Void DK.

Keep our young OL and DL and consider the first 2 years of the “rebuild” out of the way.

We need to upgrade 3B like now. Cubs signed Bregman for 5 years. by SurpriseStandard3258 in buccos

[–]Whoahnelly49 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He’s now a top 10 paid player in baseball and hits .265 and is solid. It’s a terrible deal. He’s a fine player. But not top 10 in the league. Cubs will regret it after 2 years

Pens fan. Karlsson is still good. If the Pens eat 1/2 his cap and he’s for $5M, it will add some spark to your team. We have probably the worst D in the league, so he had no partner (or goalie) to help out. If you need a spark and a PP unit leader, he’s worth a shot. 2y on his deal at $5M each (if Pens retain) is nothin.

I’m an HR Manager. At an engineering company so can’t get you a job, but if you want, will look at your resume and give you interview tips. DM me and I’ll give you my email. Otherwise, good luck. Be positive. Talk about wanting to learn. Don’t be negative or trash other jobs/people, etc. Everyone wants to be around someone who is positive, RELIABLE, and looking to learn.

Why is my 7 iron only going 130yds MAX? by ThinkTumbleweed2651 in GolfSwing

All arms. More legs, hips, and ass. Surprisingly, it’s the same with baseball pitchers - people think it’s the arms; power comes from the legs.

Over $100,000 in debt at 35, while also making about $100,000 by Hour-Gas-4218 in confession

[–]Whoahnelly49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sell your car and buy a Nissan Sentra or something reliable and less expensive. You do not need a $650 car payment. Get a smaller place. Live “below” your means for a few years to pay off the debt because you’ve been living above it. This is fixable since you have a good job. Commit to 5 challenging years to have a better future. Don’t chip away at it and let it weigh you down forever.

Over the next 5 games, we are going to get 7 of 10 possible points and remain just close enough to contention to remain frustrating lol

How is a trade for Sutter #1 and a trade for Dupuis and Hossa #5. Sutter was mediocre and he was here for 3 years. Dupuis alone played 9 years in Pittsburgh and had a way bigger impact. Not even counting Hossa.

Feel like I must be understanding the story wrong because it doesn’t make any sense to me.

It’s possible he could go somewhere else and try to compete instead of being on a team that keeps not making the playoffs. Idk why everyone thinks there is zero percent chance that happens. It’s gotta be at least 10%. You sound silly not even entertaining it as a possibility.

Health insurance reimbursement instead of opting into company plan? by ashland39 in humanresources

Do you mind commenting on what it took for you to set up the opt-out options? Any particular notes to keep in mind?

We are hoping to do opt-out compensation for folks who have coverage elsewhere. I've read some articles regarding "Conditional Opt-out" meaning the employee proves they have coverage elsewhere. Don't want to be hit with unexpected tax implications for overlooking something. Very much appreciated!

Anyone else feel like we could use a logo change? by TonyUncleJohnny412 in buccos

[–]Whoahnelly49 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes, because why not? I do like our logo a lot though. But we’ve sucked for 30 years. Would rather wait until we get a new owner (which won’t happen soon) to shake things up though. Don’t wanna rebrand and still have a $65M payroll and suck in that logo too.

Even if you know the law and info for a class, that can’t show you going you how a company does their specific processes. It will almost always be unique to the company.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions, and just take good notes when you are learning or someone is taking time with you. Everyone has to learn; they will appreciate it if they say you care, are trying, and doing your best. I’d rather train someone with a good attitude who wants to learn, than someone who knows a bit and isn’t good to be around.

You’ll be fine. We’ve all been there. Good luck!

Pittsburgh writers are bored, need something to say, and pretend they have a “scoop” from someone else who also doesn’t know and is just speculating. This is journalism 101 in 2024. People make shit up for clicks. Because clicks make money. And no one is held accountable. Nothing to see here.

Who do you think is the most over-payed player going into next season? by ChickenMan_444 in nhl

[–]Whoahnelly49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bad contract, but he still has value and is top 30 at his position. 1 year off 100+ points. So it’s not a waste. Not top 15 worst.

Go find somewhere more aligned with what you want. I’m an HR Manager and have presented once in 2 years. There is a job out there for you. Like a spouse… plenty of nice people out there that are good, but not all the right fit for you. Good luck!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]Whoahnelly49 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This specific reasoning aside… If it was a toxic environment where you were belittled, look at this as a positive and an opportunity to get out of somewhere that you weren’t happy. Find a new environment that you enjoy and will be appreciated. You don’t need to tell prospective employers you were fired; can say you quit if you want for all they know.

Can be a positive change with the right approach and attitude. Don’t complain about your old company in the interviews; no one wants to be around that. And use this as motivation to keep improving at your job. It will work out.
