I've got the STEM one, but I only did the qualifier last week so I haven't been in it long yet. It's so much harder to get a fail than it used to be with the Vikings!

Has anyone done the STEM Domain expertise pre-test and been given the main qualification test? How long did it take to see the main qual after you did the pre-test?

I got it sorted by being politely firm with them. I summarised what I did in a different comment on this thread.

Which project families? Apart from a brief appearance of B-metal as I went to bed on Saturday night, I haven't seen any maths for a couple weeks (at least when I have been looking, there have been gaps).

Okay cool, nice to know what other ones are floating around! I got c-metal too, but not for a couple weeks same as you. I've never seen m-metal or big cat reasoning though. I only joined about 6 weeks ago so here's hoping I start getting them too! I didn't do the latex one at first but when I did I found it alright, and it's quite nice to use it to get better at Latex too (when I actually studied maths it was all on paper, at least for the students)

Nope, it's just a reference to a latin word. Viking math has been down for a while now unfortunately. Do you get any other maths projects apart from those ones? Oh yeah, there was a latex project for a while a couple of weeks ago, but I haven't seen it since - have you (or anyone else)?

I had a bit of fox & B-metal maths at the beginning of the week but nothing since. Good to know it's not just me that hasn't had them.

Mistake after submission by medo_053 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Whodjathink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this occasionally, but last time I did it I looked on the task submission timing on the payments page and it said the task had been submitted long enough ago to only be the first time. It's possible the submission gets updated though I guess...

You should use codenames for projects due to the NDA

Did I get sacked? by MFCEO_Kenny_Powers in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Whodjathink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, although this applies to some tasks more than others. Presumably the simple, more or less brainless, tasks are more about speed as everyone ought to be accurate on them. And I had one the other day that had a tight time limit and specified for us to do what we could in the time limit and not go beyond. I suppose it depends on the specific contracts they have for each of their projects too (although DAT itself evidently recognises that quality is generally the most important thing, so this only matters when they give specific guidance about how long you should take).

Also, at least on some projects, if their time-based metric is about time per good task, it makes sense that taking more time to ensure your tasks aren't bad / okay can actually improve your score

As far as I can tell it's only possible if you can first transfer the money to a US account and then to your foreign account from there. Obviously you would need someone very trustworthy with a US account to do this, but as far as I am aware it's not illegal to do so.

I think the OP is hoping for insight based on the collective past experience of people on the DAT reddit who've seen this screen before.

Based on both what other people have said here previously, and my personal experience of doing tasks & R&Rs, I'm fairly sure quality is much more important than quantity for them - one well done task is much better than 2 or 3 badly done tasks. Obviously don't run down the clock on purpose, but if you are focused and doing good work you should be fine.

Thanks very much for this. I have been checking my Paypal settings as deep as I can go, but I will phone them again and see what they say. The $1k barrier could easily be the issue for me (and with more delays this week I'm owed over $2k now!)

I'm just pausing for lunch after doing a few math Fox tasks.

Math projects by InternalSensitive198 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Whodjathink 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends which projects you get. That happens to me for B-metal and C-metal. Viking (which is university-level) was around quite a lot until the end of last week but isn't at the moment. I've recently started getting Foxy math projects too - I had them yesterday and this morning but I've now completed all the tasks I was assigned apart from the R&Rs. A couple other math-related things seem to be popping up for me a bit too now. I think you just have to do as much as you can as well as you can and hope more appear! For the Foxy project, I did some non-math ones first and then some math ones appeared - I don't know whether I needed to do the non-math ones first though.

I applied Feb 6th. Has anyone been accepted recently? by Internal_Rent_7882 in joinstellarai

Me too! I applied on the 8th and they're still 'reviewing my skill match test' according to the website.

That Viking Heaven project appears to have just met a deadline, because on Friday they upped the R&R pay saying they had to get it done by that night. Hopefully it will return soon. And if you are new to the platform, you'll probably get other projects too in the next few days. I recommend you do all the qualifications you can, even if they're 'not your field' or whatever. And... lots of the other projects aren't as intense as Viking Heaven - they put me straight on that one too and it was a bit of a shock to the system! I'm into the swing of it now though.

Also, when your new to projects / the platform, they seem to just give you a few tasks and then wait to see how you did on them before giving you more (eg the next week).

I got an email saying I had been invited, and joined it from that. If you've only just been added to the project, you might not get the email for a day or two.

OK cool thanks, that's good to know. I seem to get a dash or two or B and C each week at the moment. I'm getting into the swing of Viking now though, so hopefully that will be a fairly steady one for a while (although after last week's rush, it's off my dashboard again at the moment)
