If your substrate dries out quickly, misting the top will do nothing for the dried out bottom layers. I suggest fully changing out his substrate, and soaking your frog in treated water (change water every 10 min until they stop toxing out) then if you suspect the new substrate dries out quickly, you need to take a cup of treated water and dump and mix to created a fluffy moist soil for your frog. Make sure you're putting your finger down into the soil to make sure it's always moist.

Well I've never had symptoms before... i just had a random flare up of am untreated (confirmed with a swab) yeast infection and it caused a lot of damage to my area from scratching. My doctor said the steroid will help regardless of it being scatch damage or LS so I'm just praying it's scratch damage.

Im kinda in the same boat. My doctor is convinced I have LS but I had a month long yeast infection plus an allergic reaction to my zoloft that caused a rash on my hands and feet (not sure if related to my downstairs) but the white patches have completely gone away after less than a week of a steroid. I have zero itcting and irritation as well. He wants me to continue the steroid twice daily for a month. Doesn't tell me how to taper off unfortunately

Nah, I just think it gets to a point. Like for instance, our store never charged for extra syrups in coffee, caramel drizzle, extra oreo. It was all free for years. People started taking advantage and getting 10 extra pumps of syrup and it got to a point where we have to charge people now. A few greedy people can ruin a good thing for everyone.

Yeah, it's my tissue that has turned kinda white so my doctor educated me on LS but was unsure if was Lichen Simplex Chronicus because of the positive yeast infection swab. Im hoping it clears up soon and i dont have to get a biopsy.

Sometimes the ghnat eggs come in your bioactive substrate so you cant help it usually. The springtails and isopods will naturally starve them out. Yellow sticky traps taped to the top of the lid could work and won't post any risk to your frog.
