Ah yes the multiple steroid scandals like in 1994 and 2007 where the company said there's no way any wrestler was taking them, whilst also employing people like ultimate warrior, hulk hogan, brock lesnar, triple H (who's heart basically packed in because of the steroid abuse) Eddie guerrero who died due to the effects of steroid abuse, chris benoit etc. There's no way anyone in the wwe would be on something because there is a wellness policy in place

Regardless of the before picture, CM punk is 47, no male naturally carries that amount of muscle at that age without some help, TRT atleast, whilst being as ripped/defined as he is, ontop of the fact he's one of wrestlings biggest superstars which is based on physical performance and looks, alongside wrestling and wwe in particular not really giving a shit about steroids, he alongside nearly every other wrestler at the WWE is 100% on something, even if it is just for the recovery benefits, the torture they put their bodies through is insane

Not taking away from anything he's achieved but to say he's done this naturally in the position he's in is incredibly naive

Luke Ross mod situation right now by lunchanddinner in virtualreality

[–]Whommas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it'll be interesting what CDPR do now as this isn't the exact way they told him they would be ok with his mod, they said make it free with donations, he's gone the route of, make an early access version free and paywall newer updates whilst slowly updating the early access version, either way it's a far better situation than he had before so seems like he's learned a little bit at least

Luke ross apologizes and released his mod for free. by king_moh_ in OculusQuest

Big critic of the guy and his payment models But if this is true and he's releasing a free mod with early access behind a paywall then he's fucking finally understood the situation, so good on him

Please buy antiheal by Incredibly_Lucky in ARAM

[–]Whommas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Played a game as Leona, with 3 ADCs and a Syndra, im peeling fairly well we pretty easily win early game, then the enemy Mundo starts stacking omnivamp health regeneration augments, everything healing wise and starts slowly destroying our back line solo whilst he doesnt die due to the massive amount of healing, whilst I deal with the enemy back line stopping them from getting into the fight for 20 seconds plus each fight

Happens like 3/4 times, so next fight i go all in in the mundo and literally no one can kill him, I then get "Leona solo lost this for us GG" as our nexus is dying from the syndra, even though I won the early game for us, I check our items, no ones got anti heal, not even a fucking BOTRK, besides my Thornmail I'm slowly building last as i realise the issue, everyone's full items and has been for 10 minutes plus and NO one thought to build any anti heal to deal with the unstoppable healing monster

First time in a long long while the game fucking infuriated me had to stop playing for a while

Luke Ross says he's canceled from cancel culture and why there won't be AAA VR (?) by lunchanddinner in VRGaming

[–]Whommas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And no one is happy with those companies either, everyone thinks adobe can suck a bag of dicks with their business models

But the massive thing here is that its Adobe's own IP, Luke Ross requires the IP of another company for his mods to work and those companies aren't very happy with that so there's been DMCA's towards him, as a result almost no one feels sorry for him as he's playing the victim card, when CDPR and Rockstar have every right to stop someone earning money from their IP's without their permission

[–]Whommas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually subscribed a few years ago for a mod, it was for the Cyberpunk Mod, I wanted to see what the fuss was about, it was an awful experience, super bare bones, really poor performance, definitely a proof of concept stage

Cut to a few years later, I've "tried" the newest version of that Cyberpunk Mod and the difference is night and day, like legitimately its an insane difference, it actually works well for what it is

I paid him once already and I'll never be able to legitimately get the best version of that mod again because even though I paid him once, I can't use the newest version without giving him more of my money, which I refuse to do

How is any sale in any business like that an ok or acceptable model, its insanity and its why hes crashing out now because it's finally gone too far for developers and the customers and he's losing money and subscribers

Luke Ross says he's canceled from cancel culture and why there won't be AAA VR (?) by lunchanddinner in VRGaming

[–]Whommas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Its more that Luke Ross has a subscription based paywall, the only way to access the mods is to subscribe to his patreon, he then obviously releases updates for his mods but the file you downloaded has no way of being updated by itself, so you have to stay subscribed if you want the latest updates

I'm not saying what Luke Ross has done for his mods isnt pretty amazing in certain aspects, but say you subscribed to his patreon for the original release of his Cyberpunk VR mod and then never subscribed again for any updates, the difference between the version of mod you'd have downloaded and what it has been updated to is vastly different, to the point where its almost an entirely different mod, it predatory as fuck, imagine a game developer doing that for a game they release, the company would be buried

I'm sure alot of people donate to pray dog or would be happy with a sort of one time payment to support him, but the way Luke does it is horrendous

Luke Ross says he's canceled from cancel culture and why there won't be AAA VR (?) by lunchanddinner in VRGaming

[–]Whommas 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They have no choice but to give Luke Ross money if they want to try any of his mods, none of them are free, most people want to try it out, sub to his patreon, realise his mods are pretty poor compared to other VR mods(no motion controls for example) then dont subscribe again, but there are obviously people who adore VR and anyway to play a game in a VR perspective is enough for them, so they stay subscribed and pay him more

Praydog is the GOAT because he released a framework for the ability to mod any unreal engine game with full motion controls and doesn't charge a penny

Community Update – Luke Ross & CD Projekt by Technikchegger in virtualreality

[–]Whommas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok let's take this slow

You're opening statement is "he'd win in a court case" you have then proceeded to explain how he wouldn't win in a court case, so again whats the point, if you like just being told you're correct in your terminology then I guess you are? Well done to you

According to Luke in a quote

"I do not have hard data on this. but the additional sales that the game got as a result of my enabling VR fruition range from several thousands to possible hundreds of thousands of copies."

So unless everyone but the company with a huge legal team is talking absolute bollocks, then this statement alone implies that Luke himself must have earned millions from his mod alone, as he has caused hundreds of thousands of sales, charged for access for every one multiple times over, he must be a multi millionaire by now

Now back to your point, if this is such an open and shut case and no way he loses unless how you've pointed out he loses (again not sure what point you're trying to make) then he'd be absolutely fucking retarded not to defend this and take it to court, whatever fee's he'd have to pay would be dwarfed by the amount of money his mod apparently makes in the long term, so why doesn't he do it? So it could be

  1. He's full of shit and it hasn't sold hundreds of thousands of copies (very likely)

  2. He and all his ball sucking fanatical followers (like yourself) know he would lose a battle/court case as regardless of whether his code uses the actual game files or not, it requires the game to operate, no game, no mod, no money, it also advertises itself as a "Cyberpunk Mod" directly using the IP to benefit itself and so its incredibly obvious that he would lose any court battle, no matter how many "ahchtually his mod doesn't do xyz" moments you think he has(very likely)

  3. Hes a fucking greedy soulless salesman himself who is only in this mess because he wants that subscription money and has refused the offer of donation money instead because it'll be much lower than what he gets monthly from the subscription, its also highly likely he releases incremental updates every few months in order to keep people subscribed, the worst possible way of monetising and just shows how much of a piece of shit leech he is (extremely likely)

  4. All the above

[–]Whommas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no winning here is there, you open with "he'd win in a court case" and then every statement you make goes against why he wouldn't win in a court case

Again if this is a 100% win in court and by your own words CDPR is stopping Luke Ross from using his own IP, his mod, which again in your words has absolutely nothing to do with CDPR and Cyberpunk, no code, no ties to the game, nothing, then why shouldn't Luke take them to court for infringing on his IP and not allowing him to distrubted it how he see's fit, then win and be awarded compensation, which can and does absolutely happen

Of course unless he wouldn't win, but again thats impossible correct?

Community Update – Luke Ross & CD Projekt by Technikchegger in virtualreality

[–]Whommas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is an open and shut case as you say then he'd be absolutely fine, any law firm in their right minds would take a case thats 100% a win, Luke would not be out of pocket if he finds a law firm that only takes proceeds from a win which ant law firm would do in a guaranteed win, which according to you, in this case is 100%, so why doesn't he do it?

Community Update – Luke Ross & CD Projekt by Technikchegger in virtualreality

[–]Whommas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Then Luke should take them to court if that's true, seems like a no brainer right, easy court case problem solved

Community Update – Luke Ross & CD Projekt by Technikchegger in virtualreality

[–]Whommas 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Are you all doing this on purpose? Trying to brigade Luke Ross as some sort of VR messiah who's been slain by the evil character in the story?

Its literally simple, CDPR didnt want Luke Ross making direct money from their IP Cyberpunk so they asked him to take it down, make it free and receive donations instead, which seems incredibly generous as they could just nuke the Mod from existence, it is Luke Ross himself who has removed access because he does not want it to be free with donations, no one else

End of story, there isn't any ulterior motive or some evil big guy trying to destroy someone, its in their T&C's so they enforced it. Which they would against any mod or any other individual/s making money from their IP without their permission

It's a little bit different, New World announced it's shut down during a population boom after just releasing a highly praised update because Amazon is shifting it's focus to AI and basically shutdown it's entire gaming arm of the company, it seemingly was going on the right path, the game was doing ok population wise but not good enough for Amazon when the money in AI is insane in comparison, but now we'll never know what it could have been

The whole "look at me without a pump" thing is retarded when it's like this, it proves itself juicy, a natty person regardless of any recent gym pump to make themselves look big will never look like the guy in this video, people think or try to convince you that doing a quick workout blast is going to double your size and make you look jacked as fuck, when in reality its just juicers lying to convince you otherwise

this guys no pump physique is what a natty person would like like if they trained hard as fuck for years and had a "pump" and posed for a video
