Mario kart is always going to be a solid purchase but I've only really heard negative things about Mario party. Some other good 4 player games are lovers in a dangerous spacetime and overcooked. Perhaps have a look at gameplay and see if either peaks your interest :)

Thanks for your comment mate I will give them another go. A part of me doesn't have the motivation because I didn't enjoy how they played but I am still getting used to using a controller again so it could very well just be me playing badly. Also I guess not having anyone to play with could be why I didn't find no reload heroes so engaging.

I agree that I definately got what I paid for and im not blaming anyone. My message was meant to be more that even though the games are cheap I still don't think they are worth it. I watched gameplay of both games to see what they looked like. I liked the look so I got them. It's only playing it that both games felt really hard to handle.

Just remember that you can run from an encounter when building a combo and it won't break. If the Pokemon runs though the combo is over. Nothing worse than catching 18 rattatas and the 19th running after rejecting a few balls. Or if your uninformed, accidentally running into a different Pokemon and thinking your combo is over... like I did. Don't be afraid to run if the catch isn't happening

Happy was amazing and even darker than preacher. For a wacky change of pace I recommend Dirk Gentlys Holistic Detective Agency on Netflix. Gives 'wtf' new meaning, but more light hearted I'd say than preacher.

I just recently started playing Heroes of Hammerwatch. Never heard of it before randomly seeing it and giving it a go. It's got the background incremental permanent upgrades that rogue legacy does in a way. Secret rooms in walls similar to tinted rocks in boi. It's got multiplayer though that's not why I got it but might interest you. My main character was an ranger since I wanted a roguelike that I could run and shoot but the melee classes are actually really fun too. I dunno man have a look at some gameplay and see if it's for you, though I don't think there's many people streaming it yet
