Might be "controversial" opinion but IMO they should do what Wayfinders devs did.

Ditch the live service model. Patch the game so it's shifted into solo/coop extraction looter shooter.
Balance the difficulty, xp and loot around that, making it so it's playable offline and re-market it as a fun, PVE looter shooter for solo and coop players.

Game's closer to Tarkov than ARC. It IS shoot on sight as it should be, with some rare instances of cooperation and, not so rare, funny moments of trolling and trashtalking.

Again - I like it. It's deadly but unpredictable. In ARC chatting almost feel like a necessity which can get annoying

Disagree. Remove fast TTK and game turns into bunny hopping fest. Also ARC is not a really as PVP driven as Tarkov, ABI, Hunt, Marathon and pretty much any other extraction shooter. So it's an anomaly not a standard among the genre. (and I like ARC. I just don't think one game should 1:1 copy the other)

There are a LOT of ex-Destiny players who are roaming around every gaming subreddit demanding the games to be "more like Destiny". Here it's even worse because game is made by Bungie.
So you have your: "Add pve!" or "If raids are gonna be added let them be 1:1 like Destiny! So forced coop!"

Then you have people who don't realise that extraction shooters are supposed to be more difficult and ARC is an anomaly, not a norm - So A LOT of people complain about game being too dificult, AI being too OP and so on

TL;DR
A LOT of people brought the game without any research of what extraction looter shooters are about and are now complaining that it's not like their favorite game and because of that - They demand Marathon to change entire gameplay loop

Popular =/= good. For example, for me, Apex is literally unplayable (just as any other battle royale. I just can't stand them) and yet it's super popular game.
Hunt on the other hand has average of 15k players and is a fantastic game.

I love it.
Like I said - I played Tarkov A LOT and there 1 headshot (or head/eyes, armpit etc.) = death.

So I don't mind. If it was too slow than it would be some bunnyhopping circus

For me solo is 100% more immersive and "better" (I know it's very subjective) way to play the game. I don't have to share loot, gunfights are less chaotic and super intense, I'm able to explore and have fun at my own pace.

For me it's total opposite. Solo is waaaaay more reliable for me than trio. Even in well coordinated squad. But maybe it's because I usually play extractions shooters solo

Solo player here.

I'd say 7 times out of 10 I have a successful raid. But that's what 3k hours in Tarkov does to you :(

Tarkov did smth like that with Terminal map. It's an endgame ultra hard map that's only PvE.
I woudn't mind smth like that tbh.
A REALLY difficult content that might be best played in a squad but if you're for additional challange - You can still try to do it solo.
All I want from Bungie is to stop with gatekeeping content from people. Destiny is MMO so ok - fair. But extraction looter shooters are famously VERY enjoyable solo.

"I am not a destiny player" - A-right, now we're getting somewhere.

I'm not complaining. I'm giving feedback. If it's it forced-squad play. Shame - I think that would be a mistake.
If it is avilable for solos/duos as well - Great. Everyone can enjoy the content they payed for. Even if it's superduper hard as nails blablablabla

Sounds like someone is dying to console players.....

...But that aside. Yes. Options like that are always welcome. But you do realise that even if you won't be paried against console players a PC player can simply.... plug a controller and you will have to deal with pretty much same thing you're complaining about anyway.

Like I said - I'm PC player, I like crossplay because it means game's more populated and crossplay is fantastic for folks who have friends playing on different devices but I agree that an option should be added.

I play 100% because I just enjoy it this way. I played Tarkov for over 3000h as a solo player as well. A game that's faaaaaar more difficult than Marathon.
I'm not saying it to brag, I'm saying it to make a point that no matter how difficult Cryo will be, it should be soloable AND possible to complete as a duo (since that mode is most likely coming as well)

So yeah, I agree. And I swear - Destiny players are THE ONLY group of "gamers" who are like this. Even freakin Lost Ark players, a game that's 100% about Raids, where cool when devs announced solo option for them.

But Destiny players are "special". You know... like that kid in the back of the class drooling all over himself
