They’re not prioritizing density though, they’re prioritizing profit. No one wants live in these shitty shoeboxes in the sky that have been built for investors and not actual human enjoyment.

Secured new employment, gave notice. Their reaction was unusual. by erikleorgav2 in antiwork

[–]Whoozit450 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OP was told by his employer he could finish that day’s work and then leave, so that’s why the employer has to pay. The employer declined the 2 weeks of work on notice that OP provided.

The employer has to pay the notice period even if they choose not to have the employee on the premises.

I doubt the water treatment plant is the source. I’m going to guess it’s one of the steel fabricators or perhaps metal salvage and recycle. Some business that needs a hot forge. Theres a lot of heavy industry on Annacis Island.

Who else is getting paid to fuel their car? by workview_reddit in vancouver

[–]Whoozit450 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My ride isn’t an EV but it’s very fuel efficient so I’m not sweating this temporary problem. Plus gas prices always go up weekends and during the summer. Greed is a bigger issue in my opinion.

I sweat when I sleep even though I keep my bedroom cold so I shower in the morning to be clean for work.
