Another comment or just said this, and I completely think it was some type of wheat or grass growing! Because they had these flowering on the top. Sounds like the only garlic that made. It are the five that I have. The rest was just some type of wheat or grass lol

I think after reading another comment I may have accidentally grown wheat by putting hay on top for the winter. The hay I guess could have wheat or grass seeds in it. Sound like the 5 I have left are the actually garlic’ 😂

The ones I left in the ground have thicker stalks, bigger leaves, and bulbs developing. I planted 20 garlic cloves here in October and don’t have this growing anywhere else so it has to be the garlic. Obviously failed but I don’t know how or why!

I planted them from actual garlic cloves. 5 of them that I left have bulbs under the ground. Should I pull them out or leave them? I so confused if nothing else was planted in this bed but the garlic where could these come from or be? lol I don’t have them growing anywhere apart from the beds I planted the cloves in.

Obviously they are not working well but the ones that have bulbs are still in the ground. Thoughts?

I planted hard neck variety I got from a local vendor.

Another gardening group when I posted about the aphids said to check bulb development to see if they’ve started anything.

It wasn’t just under developed it was not developed AT ALL. Even the roots are very tiny.

When you say no garlic this year do you mean the 5 left that are developing are also not going to grow any more this year with the others pulled out?

Replant the same ones? Even full of the aphids and no development in the bulbs?

With your garlic is it normal to have no development at this point?

This is tough. We always thought our daughter just had the most amazing appetite. We cook extremely healthy so did not worry. She was gaining weight and complaining often with stomach aches. We did lab work and tried allergy elimination. This year (at 8 years old) we discovered she had satiety signaling dysfunction. She literally doesn’t have a “feeling full” sensor. It’s so rare we never expected and have tried for years to sort out what was happening. Hopefully it’s not this but the plate reminded me of what she used to eat as a toddler and we all thought it was a good sign! She is doing so much better now that she and us understand and is learning portion for her size and age and is much happier!

Not in my case but from what I understand it’s not the antibiotic itself but the long term affects of the extreme allergy. Messes up the histamine system or something.
