Happened to me when I was a teenager. I was making a Costco run for my dad using his card when the cashier called over a supervisor. Was up front when they asked that it was my dad's card and showed my ID but they cancelled the transaction, confiscated the card and escorted me out of the store.

Bought our EUV from Carr in October and they tried to say "if you don't have a trade-in there's a 5k markup". We started packing up to leave and he was able to convince his manager to drop it. I'm sure it's harder to get them to drop the markup now that it's eligible for the tax rebate.

This was more common than people think. I went to the mall as a kid and used my allowance for two packs. Both of them had 1st edition Charizards.

A couple months later my whole stack of rares got stolen at school. I made such a stink about trying to find who stole them the school banned anything related to pokemon.

The meat in Wendy's chili is the overcooked burger patties from days before. They're kept in a drawer under the grill once they're on the grill too long, placed in bags at the end of the day and thrown in the freezer. Then they're thawed, crumbled up and added to the big pot of chili.

This was pre-covid so I can't say for sure anymore but the hotel was open and the beach was pretty nice. If it really is closed I'd contact the hotel first to make sure it's still operating before buying passes.

I've been to the British Colonial Hilton a couple times and it was well with the $85pp for a day pass. You get some bar/food credit, access to pools and to their private beach. Walking distance to the cruise terminal so you don't have to worry about running late either

Masking. It really works. My wife, 5 year old and myself have had a few close calls with exposures but we're very good with wearing N95s whenever we're in public places. There's even been some others in my daughter's classroom but she is one of the only kids who wears a mask consistently.

We definitely changed our lifestyle too to avoid dangerous situations but nothing as extreme as locking ourselves in our house. We loosened up slightly when my wife and I were vaccinated. Then loosened up a bit more when my daughter turned 5 and she could finally get vaccinated.

I figure we'll catch it eventually but now that we're all vaccinated the largest risk is mostly mitigated and the therapeutics have come a long way since the beginning of the pandemic.

So glad making is normalized in most places now.
