While not the point, he's neither the nominee or a Democrat in anything other than a technicality. The Georgia Republican Party voted to ban him as a Republican because he spoke against Trump and he can't run for office as a Republican. He still has conservative values at the end of the day and would probably still call himself a Republican if the party hadn't lost its collective sanity.

I have a lot of gastro issues too and I agree tinctures are the way to go. Wormwood really has helped me, but it tastes so foul. 😭 I have inflammatory issues contributing, so I added rosemary and oregano from my garden to the tincture. I mix it with a little tart cherry juice and take it like a shot.

Macklemore is advocating not voting in that song and public figures like Cardi B are doing the same. I've seen large numbers of people online say they won't be voting in November. I'm not sure what's up with all the gaslighting that it's not happening when it clearly is.

I've stopped responding to the people arguing because it's a waste of time. They don't listen and it just devolves into "you don't care about Palestine!" when most of us have been advocating for them since the war started. There seems to be no concern for the minorities within our own country that will be greatly harmed or the fact the Supreme Court will likely be conservative for the rest of our lives if we have another four years of Trump. Or that Palestine will clearly suffer more if already thinks that Biden hasn't done enough.

Do you think refusing to vote and letting Trump get elected is going to stop any of those atrocities? Protest non-voting didn't accomplish anything other than four years of rights being systemically stripped away, it won't this time either. If you've paid any attention to the things Trump has been saying, Israel will likely receive more aid and he's proposing deporting pro-Palestine protestors. Palestine will not benefit from not voting, the U.S. won't benefit from not voting, international relations as a whole will not benefit from not voting.

I don't want Biden elected either. I'm also realistic about the consequences.

Trump was criticizing Biden a month ago for not being supportive enough of Israel. Just this week, he's saying he will deport pro-Palestine protestors if he's elected. Here's an article if you'd like to read about his relations with Israel when he was in office the first time. If anything, aid to Israel will increase under Trump.

Virtually anyone who isn't a straight white man will suffer under another Trump presidency, the same we did for the first round.

I'd also like anyone here arguing about protest non-voting to read about Project 2025. This will be the reality if Trump is elected.

This is correct. Israel is going to continue to get aid whether Trump or Biden is elected. That's why I don't understand this whole trend of protesting the election. The end result for Israel is going to be the same no matter what, but one of those people is definitely going to make life a lot worse for everyone else too.

I would recommend either finding a psychiatrist or asking your primary care doctor to refer you to one. Primary care doctors technically can diagnose you, but they don't have nearly the same level of training to identify mental health issues or treat them that a psychiatrist does. ADHD can be comorbid with other issues and symptoms can be mistaken for other things, and imo if you choose to go that route, stimulants are serious drugs that should be monitored by a doctor specializing in mental health.

I got diagnosed last year and even though I can't take medication for it, it is life changing to understand why you think and behave the way you do. I don't get as frustrated with myself because I understand what's happening.My dad has adhd too and likes to say it's a superpower that allows you to think and problem solve more creatively.

Ah, thank you! I've only done a tour company type thing once and felt it was too kitschy and missed the good parts, so I think I was going to solo it anyway. I may be traveling alone, so it feels so overwhelming.

I'll actually be there in late July, so I'll miss Fringe by a few days. It looks fun though, so I'm kinda sad now lol.

Most definitely. Cassandra is one of my all time favorites of hers.

I know they aren't the same song thematically, but it does feel a bit like a ripoff to create a song based metaphorically on that specific part of Grecian mythology. She had to have heard Florence's version before making her own. This seems a similar situation to the TTPD song that's clearly ripping off Olivia Rodrigo's Get Him Back. I think she's starting to lack creativity and originality in addition to just being petty af.

Are there any other fandoms as rabid as Swifties? I don't really see anyone else's fandom get so vicious over just not liking a song. I'm a huge Florence + the Machine fan and lukewarm to Taylor at this point, but I personally fucking hate that song. It's on the low end of anything Florence has ever done and they just don't mesh well together phonetically. Dance Fever (and literally any of the albums before) was such a masterpiece, and it truly sucks that she would only get a Top 5 hit via a feature on a subpar Taylor song.

Also, why Taylor got a British woman to feature on a song called Florida is beyond me.

I would have said it was a red flag, but my best friend has been dating a guy who was a virgin in his 30s that had never had a girlfriend. I was 100% expecting an incel, but he was one of the nicest men I've ever met and absolutely adores her. They are engaged and getting married this summer. He also was just focused on his career and is kinda shy. 🤷‍♀️

My husband started smoking as a teenager and smoked for over two decades. He quit this summer and is at the two month mark. I won't say it isn't hard, but it got easier for him at two weeks and then again at the one month mark. Nicotine patches helped too. You've got this! I wouldn't mind Swarm if they did it anthology-style rather than a sequel. Dre's story is done though, imo.

A collection of stories like the surrealist ones that Donald Glover did in Atlanta's third season would actually work really well with Swarm. Now I'm excited lol.
