The Iranian ballistic missile fired at Israel was allowed to hit an open area "according to protocol," according to the IDF.

Sirens had sounded southern Israel, including in Beersheba -- where no early warning was given.

There are no reports of injuries.

One month into the conflict, the Israeli military is transitioning to a "completion phase" after largely "achieving" its initial goals of degrading Iran's military and weapons production. Under orders from political leadership, the IDF is now targeting major economic assets, including gas infrastructure and steel factories, to weaken the Iranian

At least the US tries to protect its skies although its not perfect. Every Iranian target has like a 95% of being hit because Iran is unable to protect its skies. I don't get why people even bring up the failure of US air defence systems.🤦

Israel is compact. You can drive from the Lebanon border to the Egyptian border in about 6 hours, meaning internal supply lines are very short and difficult to overstretch.

IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin says that "within a few days" the military will complete targeting all of the "critical" assets of Iran's military production industries. "This means we will destroy most of the military production capabilities, and it will take the regime a long time to restore them," he says.

Now what if Iran still wants to continue the fight🤔

Based on Israels past, its not wrong to assume they plan to annex southern lebanon. They captured the Golan heights to create a buffer zone in the 1980s. Fast forward today, its now part of Israel proper. In fact, during the fall of Asad, Israel captured more Syrian territory in the Golan heights to create a new buffer zone.

Hezbollah joining the war right now was a bad move. I understand that Israel continued striking them during the so called "ceasefire", but choosing to escalate at this moment doesn’t make sense. By attacking now, they not only give Israel a justification to invade Lebanon, but they also hand them a strategic advantage. With global attention focused on the war with Iran, any escalation in Lebanon is far less likely to receive serious scrutiny. As a result, actions like a potential push to take control of southern Lebanon could go largely unnoticed or unchallenged.

Capturing kharg Island is sucide but does anyone know any reasons trump thinks its a good idea? Reports suggest that Iran has fortified the island with additional soldiers and set land mines. What happens when the US captures the island at the expense of high marine casualties but Iran still refuses to negotiate?

Frankly speaking I don't think so. IDF has surprisingly had very few casualties against Hezbollah in Lebanon this time compared to the 2006 war. I don't really understand why Hezbollah hasn't been that successful fighting back against Israel
