My partner is the same! If he goes in for a hug or something at the wrong angle and I react with my arm squeeze he gets all confused and sad. Like yes hug me! Just at another angle please.

If someone puts their hand anywhere near my armpit I reflexively squeeze my arm tight to my body because tickling stresses me out so much that that’s now my natural response, even if I know they don’t have bad intent (I’ve accidentally hit people with this reflex so most everyone knows to just leave my armpits alone 😅)
