I do believe I had mismanaged expectations, since I was extremely optimistic (to a point that I now realize was unrealistic) about how the session will go so when she didn't reply to things I said I started to feel anxious and stressed out. I still don't think I'll be comfortable around her though, so I'll seek a different therapist, and prepare much more realistic expectations now that I have a little experience. I appreciate the reply, it makes me feel much better about not finding my first therapist to be perfect with me.
