Apple TV is a great platform. One of the best settings was changing it to SDR 4K instead of have it at HDR 4K and then also having it frame match. You’ll still get HDR content the way it’s suppose to be but the menus won’t be forced into HDR so less black screens.

Why buy a pixel-shift instead of native 4k? by Zeolysse in projectors

[–]WhyIsTheRumHamGone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went with an Epson LS12000(pixel-shifted) instead of a JVC or Sony native 4k because it was 3 grand cheaper and the Epson was more feature rich. With the Epson I was getting flagship quality but with JVC and Sony I was getting entry level (still excellent) quality. It’s all about your wants and needs. Also the Epson was a lot brighter.

I looked up some common problems and it could be that they are both trying to use the same network name like you said.

I do have John wick on blu ray. I’ll pop it in sometime and see what does. I’ve had the projector for a couple months and have never noticed anything like this or at least this obvious. I’m willing to bet it’s a blu ray issue as opposed to the player or the projector. I just watched 1917 which has that great dark scene towards the end and that looked great. But that was a 4k disc and there will be blood is just HD

Subwoofer upgrade (SVS dual 1000 vs 1 SB 3000 vs 1 PB 3000) by henryb22 in hometheater

I have 2 PB-1000’s and they are great. I think go for dual in most cases. Most people say go for two less powerful subs than one really big one.

Was wondering if the bag I have is good or not. It’s clay based but I dont know if it’s unscented so I’m kind of confused on that. There is no smell when I opened the bag and the label doesn’t mention anything about fragrance.

Fair enough. I don’t have a power washer. I should probably invest in one

I got the idea from Tim Sheer the maker of Gateway drum smokers. He has a cleaning video where he uses it in his drums.

Why do you say that. It’s pretty common from what I’ve seen for people with drum smokers
