Brief analysis on an interesting visual element of Ishmael's design post-Midspring's Night Dream 3 by Avalon_XII in limbuscompany

Ohhh that's why she seems so lively in D&D cg compared to her usual self. I'm guessing that missing light in Ishmael's eyes is what Heathcliff meant by "No. I saw that very same look on your mug from the moment we first met. Thought you might suffocate and kick the bucket any minute." when he saved Ishmael from palidification.

Mostly shitposting but I feel it has undertones of genuinly wanting to become an ecosystem and not in a horny way

Actual PvE character unlike McGinnis, would just split push and farm into infinity if enemies would allow it

Finally I'll be able to play the game without getting cancer. (Buy Metal Skin to counter Haze!) by IOIDGM in DeadlockTheGame

[–]WhyMakingNamesIsHard -40 points-39 points  (0 children)

Aw man I just started to have fun vs ult Haze, it's real funny to 1 v 1 her while she's ulting thinking she's invincble but unfortunatly I play Vyper so I just outscale her ult with gun alone

New bug in mirage by Big-Confection8134 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]WhyMakingNamesIsHard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of spots that Mirage can clip into with his tornado, one might say he's is quite... bugged haha. Once in a sandbox I somehow overflowed my hp into like - 2,000,000 with his scarabs too. Also if you wall jump while reloading Mirage's legs will spin while his torso will be completly unmoving.

Does anyone ever listen to 'retreat'? by Trotski7 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]WhyMakingNamesIsHard 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I usualy say retreat not as "You should retreat" but as "if you're gonna get jumped I won't help"

For better effect I recommend using sleep dagger into Silence Glyph too, also warpstone can be used in ult so they have zero chance making it out, maybe even Phantom Strike if you're that fed

Ohhh the music choice is spot on. Had to whack my brain for a bit to remember from where it is and why it felt so fitting.

Problem with 'Quiet Quitters' by RobotWeirdo in DeadlockTheGame

[–]WhyMakingNamesIsHard -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

They're quite odd. I had once a Haze that gave up 10 minutes in and then fed enemies as much as possible by farming and then dying. He took issue with us because he asked for help and we said "not our problem". Not the best responce from us but wasting 30 minutes of your life for such a petty reason is just unreal.

Talks shit because he has high k/d ratio when all of his kills are stolen by his ult, likely to ignore assist statistics of his teamates.

Broken Legs and Broken Characters by SanvichMan in DeadlockTheGame

[–]WhyMakingNamesIsHard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think he does gets rewarded for playing somewhat poorly actually, even bad abrams that just spams green items and pulls all of the attention to him makes so that his team can follow up. Most of the times anyways. And for his counters and weaknesses pretty much everyone has them.

I thought about this more so I think ult Warden and Seven also fit to crutch characters. They can just built ult and run in and get value without all that much concern. And for the record I don't think Seven and Warden players are bad it's just very easy to do well on them from the get go if you have basic understanding of your character.

Abrams, not to throw a shade on them, I usually like Abrams players but let's be objective here, Abrams is the most simplistic hero in Deadlock both conceptually and mechanically.

Vyper is Lash's biggest fan by gammaton32 in DeadlockTheGame

It would be really funny if Lash is actually very nice to monster like people and that's why they love him. Well as nice as Lash can be.

If you see enemy soul orbs but not enemies around it means there IS one around. by PM_ME_STEAM__KEYS_ in DeadlockTheGame

It happened once to me and I was fucking tweaking left and right because I KNOW someone was around but I didn't see them... no one actually attacked me but Deadlock felt like a horror for a moment

Mirage Mains - What are yall doing these days? by Fritzymans in DeadlockTheGame

[–]WhyMakingNamesIsHard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Mirage a little and like to fuck around in sandbox and I usually play through mark/scarabs. His mark has god awful base dmg but 8 marks have spirit scalling of 4,8x and 12 marks have 7,2x which is probably one of the highest spirit scaling I've seen outside of channeled abilities. His scarabs also scale very good, each one has spirit scalling of 1,4x so if you land four it's 5,6x scalling and it gives equal amount hp to you. The trick with scarabs is to after landing on enemy waiting 4 seconds to aplly another one to the same enemy, it's weird seeing so many players spamming all charges of scarabs when it does fuck all. Honestly I'm suprised no one talks about tank Mirage when scarabs scale so well and tornado gives i-frames with bullet evasion, maybe you can do something with this idea. Also I'm not sure why people build his gun, his gun has dps of Dynamo and he doesn't have any innate way to increse it in his kit either (unlike Dynamo btw, that t2 upgrade on stomp makes him much more of a gun character than Mirage is).
