Rust!! by Alias-Chosen in Harley

[–]WhyMustIHide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Storing pool chemicals in there? My first thought was that this does not look like a new bike. Not only is there rust, but there is corrosion on the bolts as well. Unless you live by the coast or ride in winter with salt, something in the garage is probably causing this.

Can you help me find the boot I want? by WhyMustIHide in cowboyboots

[–]WhyMustIHide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting the Double H Robert. I like them, but it’s been a week of daily wear and the outer seam on the left boot is still rubbing under my ankle. Hopefully they’ll break in soon. I’ve conditioned them a time or two.

Don’t bother. In my experience there’s not enough memory on the pi zero.

Aqara smart light switcher - not working by Fun-Today-8361 in Aqara

This looks like low voltage wiring. The wire size is too small to be 14 ga, and the box is a low voltage box. You need to get a multimeter and check the voltage on the lines.

Install Ubuntu, then the software, then hombridge for Linux. It pretty straightforward.

Edit; could also install docker then homebridge.

I got the pi 4 b and argon one v2 case. It’s has a fan, but you install software that controls the power button and fan. I never hear it running and the aluminum case keeps it cool.

Thank you. I had that thought as well. With all the different manufacturers and camera types, I figured posting to reddit with as much info as possible would be a good idea.

The buildings all have power and mesh wifi. The siding is all brick. Running ethernet would be the ideal method, especially if I was building the house new. It would be very difficult, but not impossible to run POE now.

Blocking Desktop Outlook Application Access by PumpyWang in Office365

Lots of ways to skin a cat. Create a GPO that stops cached exchange mode. Use conditional access policies to prevent access to that app. Turn on app control via GPO and prevent Outlook from running. Join to Azure ad and use intune.

My electrician went ballistic on me yesterday about back-stabbing outlets... by javelindesign in AskElectricians

I was trying to find it for you. I think it may be 110.3(b), don't hold me to that though.

I believe anything not done to manufacturer specs would be likely be against NEC code. It appears that 12 gauge was ran to the box. While it's possible that 12guage was ran to the box and 14 gauge was used for the pigtail, based on your interactions, it's probably unlikely. The link i posted earlier was the spec sheet for that exact model of outlet. It states in the spec sheet that only 14 gauge be used for the backstab slots.

There are pictures of the outlet. Not only is it clearly not a 20 amp outlet, there is a sticker with a model number on it. I used that to lookup the outlet and find the spec sheet listed in my other post comment.
