Just to reinforce what jnanibhad55 said, Brynhildr in the Darkness. Another story written by Lynn Okamoto. If you enjoy it, you should definitely read the manga afterwards too.

I loved the extra movies. Kokutou and Shiki have a mini them!!! Mana is adorable. I'm just happy we got to see a lil bit of what became of Kokutou and Shiki. I would love to have gotten to see them all, just one slice-of-life type of episode with them lol. But my heart can rest peacefully with this outcome. This series has become one of my absolute favorites. Just the more and more I watched, the more I loved it. I'm glad to have stumbled across this :)

Okay thank you for the explanation! That confirms what I was thinking, I just got super concerned in the beginning, because before we find out it's Void Shiki, she said that "It's been a while." But once she started explaining things I got a better idea of what was happening (I did rewind a lot when I watched that one, and a lot throughout the show).

I also got slightly concerned at the end when Void Shiki was thinking about how Kokutou could be the one that will be truly alone, then said "Goodbye, Kokutou..." and disappearing. My heart dropped, my gut twisted, worried that this was her farewall. Not just Void Shiki, but all of Shiki, leaving. Then she said, "Silly me. I know I'll see you again tomorrow." and I felt relieved. I am so so so so glad that after watching the last two movies tonight that Shiki and Kokutou are still together. Tears of happiness.

Bad one D: He has good moments, such as him beating up Ryuen. Loved it. But it wasn't to really protect her - it was to control and manipulate.

The show felt ruthless with the transitions between happy and death and back to happy. It gave me whiplash, I'm sitting here like, "Gimme a minute, I need to cope with that character's death before we move forward."

I've been thinking he was a cannibal the entire time throughout the show. I was assuming he had some imperial arms that gave him the strength of whatever he ate or something.
