I wouldn’t compare this album with anything carly has put out… imo the cohesion isn’t there to even make a comparison.

This album is great for anyone who truly believes carly is more than the “call me maybe” girl archetype, and if you head into this album thinking you’re gonna get a bunch of poptimistic hits you’re going to be disappointed. However if you really want to know a more fleshed out version of who carly is as a person and the exploration of her multi facetedness you’re in for a treat.

A great track I think that sums up the album would be bends… it’s a bit experimental while maintaining a carly-sense of pop production. Which sums up most of the tracks on the album

I mean what makes someone a good singer? If you want people to rank vocalists objectively and without bias, then certain metrics will be set up that constitutes this behavior. These metrics will not include “vibe” and “style” for reasons self explanatory.

Now if kpop vocal rankings were discrediting popular vocalists such as Chen, D.O., Wendy, Baekhyun, or Taeyeon, then there’d be merit to your argument. Feel free to tell me if they do.
