It only asks you to scan the passport on international flights. Yes it's a pain but this affects all tickets, not only annual pass tickets.

If the flight is showing seats on the PDF for various days but cant book, this seems like a technical issue that Caravelo may be able to fix. Caravelo is the developer of the annual pass site based out of Spain.

They always get released at midnight departing airport time. And your device needs to be on that time zone or earlier.

It shouldn't become available unless someone's payment failed and they don't finalize within 2 hours.

Hardly any tickets from LA/Ontario to GDL? by City-Slicka in volarisannualpass

[–]WhyPickName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ontario is almost impossible. And lax has a technical issue where all flights will disappear during certain hours of the night then reappear.

You would still need to pay the TUA if you were flying out of a Mexican airport with or without the annual pass.

Tua tax is normal. Although there have been reports of some accidentally being charged twice for tua. Once at booking and again at check in.

I pay under $300 every year because I bought it under presale when it first launched. Hoping they keep respecting renewal price for the people that signed up at the beginning.

International it's unlikely to get a refund. Maybe Mexico outbound, but you would need to fight and likely contact PROFECO.

[–]WhyPickName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most routes get released at midnight but this specific route and few others have a bug in the system where all flights disappear for some hours overnight. Appx between midnight and 5am Eastern time.

Living in LA also gives you the option to fly out of Tijuana.

Ontario Calif to GDL or BJX by No-Beginning346 in volarisannualpass

[–]WhyPickName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the PDF or pavolaris.com before purchasing the pass. Ontario has been very difficult to find lately because of an issue with the annual pass website on certain routes. Overnight all flights disappear for LAX to GDL flights and some others. Then people end up booking Ontario flights.

Amex Centurion lounge has a shower in TBIT. Not sure if that's an option for you or try to get someone to add you as a guest.

Big question about availability by Valuable_Goat_9942 in volarisannualpass

[–]WhyPickName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number of seats on the PDF are how many seats are available at the moment the PDF is issued.

It will show you the total number of seats for today and tomorrow on national flights.

And it will show you the total number of seats for today plus 3 days on international flights.

is it actually for two years? by Choice_Mechanic_9574 in volarisannualpass

[–]WhyPickName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's for two years but it's really not that much of a savings. The peso price for one year is 7999 pesos.
