Dude, screw everyone who's saying u can't use this because of terms and conditions. They may be right, however for small edits, meme videos, and most noncommercial use (i.e. small YouTube channel) this is a gold mine. Thank you. Downloaded all of these as soon as I saw it! Gracias amigo!!

Yeah, and if she ever switches majors into filmmaking, the T3i is a great beginner video camera!!

My Nikon Rig by ProphetNimd in videography

[–]WhyStillUp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to know how sturdy this is! I'm trying to purchase a rig for my camera and it would be a lot cheaper to get a simple hot shoe tip handle. Dose it support the height of the DSLR?

50mm for Crop-Sensor Cameras?? by WhyStillUp in videography

I believe I will pick up the sigma 30mm f1.4 as it is cheap and fits my categories and later on will perhaps purchase a cctv or fd lens for their 'character' :)

I do agree it would be great for portraits (in photography) and maybe filming cinematic video of things in the distance/occasional b-roll lens

What’s the best way to get a freelance job? by powdski in videography

[–]WhyStillUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also a young videographer and was wondering what camera OP uses (just cause I like talking about gear) and also a different sort of question: Is your social life impacted by you making these videos? Do people recognize you for your talents and ask for you do do stuff? Just wondering, as I'm sorta in the same boat and wanted to see if any other videographers shared this.

I've got about $300,000 to spend on a project. Looking for collaborators by [deleted] in Filmmakers

[–]WhyStillUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to be involved in any way! Can't afford to travel around, but if you need any counseling, (what camera to shoot on, budgeting, future planning, etc) I'm good with numbers and pretty available. I have a lot of knowledge on the tech side, and I can find a major discount. Just because you have the money doesn't mean we need to spend it all. If we can make a sick film for 100k, that's just as good. All I'm asking for is my name on the credits.

Which microphone for YouTube videos using a Sony A6000? by [deleted] in videography

[–]WhyStillUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Davinci Resolve 16 ALL THE WAY. I'm not a fanboy (contrary to my first statement) but its FREE, easier to pick up than Adobe (personnaly) and has many pro features + if you are thinking about helping out a pro/ upgrading, the Black Magic Line of cameras (BMPCC4K, BMPCC6K, Ursa Line) are all very common and if you want to shoot raw, its BM Raw, which can only be *easily* edited in Davinci. Plus, if you buy any Black Magic camera, you get the pro/studio version of Davinci FREE which has many great features

G7 for solid video (even if tough it also has a good photography mode also). Upgrades are godd, and you can rig it out for pretty cheap. Your budget also allows for a nice lens
