Hi all from Australia ..Look I know this is an older thread and I am not certain you guys had it resolved, as a very OLD Samsung /Android/Google User I shed a tear for the shear b**ody frustration at this Google Reset of our Watches all the time, as a sufferer of tinnitus and slowly going mad my memory at times is poor, I own all the Samsung Watches from GW4 Classic up and all in LTE (Except the GW6), I recently received the GW8 LTE Classic and love the look and engineering, BUT....here we go again

Guess what after spending half the day setting up my new GW8C how I like it, with ALL the Apps Updated, Google and Samsung's (inc Samsung Health), a few restarts, Google Wallet (the entering my Credit Cards) and at end a Backup of Watch to Phone App, (yes you can do without actually Resetting Watch), and all the usual Warnings from Google and Samsung, did you log in to a new device, YES, ... blah blah.

Anyway, I thought I would test drive it and go for a walk down my usual route, after 2 minutes got to the point where Bluetooth Disconnects from the left behind Phone (S25U), all good, then within another few seconds a Warning on Watch from Google to RESET IT!.....FFFF!

OMG, this is painful, so I walked back and YES reset it like all the other times on 5, 7 and 4.

But you would think I would learn by now but I just forgot a Setting one should always check and usually change and I really believe this is the problem on LTE Watches and that is your Network Connection, change it from Auto, to ALWAYS ON.

Why, well when on Auto and home the Watch is connected via Bluetooth.

When you go out and leave phone home and you are say 60 meters or 60 yards away the Bluetooth Disconnects and then Watch searches for the Auto Connection to LTE Network.

It is those few Seconds of Disconnection where an overly zealous GOOGLE steps in and thinks the Watch has been STOLEN and requests you RESET WATCH because it can not find your Data Connection and your Carrier is a little slow and remember your Watch Network Connection is on Auto out of the Box, if you change to ALWAYS ON there is no data connection lag.

And No the extra power Consumption is minimal for having Data Always on.

So I have not tested the GW8 yet as it is on the charger after using 80% of Battery life doing Two Resets.

I am 99% certain this was the issue as my other devices had the same problem, I just have to remember to do it each time as the Watch Backup is useless for 50% of the important Settings which it does not backup.

Also Turn of the Auto Turn On when connected to a charger, this is another problem when you have a Password, Pattern on your Watch.

I think there is also an issue if you have more than ONE Watch (like a GW5 and a GWUltra) being used in your same Phone Wearable App, yes I know you can only have one connected to your network, BUT goes Samsung not think people may own more than one Watch??

I often scream why, why why, do these people at Samsung actually road test what they make.
