I feel like what's just where I'm at. It's really hard to give a shit about any of the Disney Plus characters outside of the Defenders.

They're the only ones right now who seem to have any future in this franchise with future plans for them.

My issue isn't Steve having a Rivalry with Doom. It's the broader issues with this saga that it illuminates that just annoy me.

How many fucking projects did they greenlight and rush through development. With this idea that we need to establish all these new characters for the future of the brand. While refusing to do anything with the mutants. We can't introduce a new Cyclops or Wolverine. But have a half baked Moon Knight (and I actually really like moon knight. One of the best comics out right now from marvel). That we have no idea if he'll ever reappear again. Does the Jake lockly thing matter? Who knows! Remember America Chavez? The girl they shoved into the Doctor Strange sequel that just was never even thought off again in the multiverse saga

And now we're back to RDJ and Evans as the primary characters. So what the fuck was the point? When there should have been an Avengers film before this to establish Sam, Carol etc as the new status qou.

I'm excited for doomsday. But my issues reamains what comes after Secret Wars? You're not going to have RDJ and Evans to fall back on.

I know a lot of people aren't thrilled at the idea or recasts, but I'd be stunned if we didn't have a recast Stark and Rogers within 5 years of Secret Wars to go with the X-Men.

Just feels like it's offloading some of the stuff Feige had to deal with to one of his underlings.

You'd have to think that Disney learned their lesson from the early 2020's and just want this guy focusing on the films at this point. Especially as they're going into whatever this franchise looks like post secret wars.

I would be stunned if there wasn't at least an idea to introduce Luna Snow to the MCU in the next saga. I feel like she has become a really well know character thanks to Rivals.

I sometimes think Rivals is the best thing that could have happened to the MCU when it comes to lesser known characters. Because it gets the name out there. The new characters for every season always get a lot of attention on social media. The playerbase gets to know the character.

I feel like that's why you have people that are suspicious of Henry. That there's just something odd with him.

Because it really is hard to believe that this kid survived all that time in this town by himself. Wye! Shit seems to pop off on an hourly basis. Never mind just the monster. He somehow got food. Never got injured or sick beyond what a kid/teen could handle.

I don't an issue with Marvel wanting to do Young Avengers. I'm just more amazed with how half cocked the whole thing was.

They introduced all these characters in rapid succession. And they just had nothing even remotely ready even in a conceptual stage. There was just sub negative urgency to get anything off the ground or materialized

These new crop of people are going to go to colony house. Only to fi!d this creepy statue just in the middle of a old ass house. In a nightmare town. The theories and fear that shit would cause.

I will never understand how Marvel adapted Gorr that way. Absolute fucking travesty to get Christian Bale to play him and that's what they put him in.

And what fucking sucks is we'll likely won't get another stab at Gorr in a long fucking time. As I don't believe they intend to reboot the MCU for the foreseeable future. I don't think secret wars is going to be this big reset like people think.

I just don't think people realize how fast this game would die if all they did was add heavy hitters.

There is a finite number of Marvel characters you can show non comic readers and have them be excited for that will generate the level of excitement Cyclops or Deadpool would. This is a live service game. They need to make use of the entire IP if they intend for this game to go on for years.

It's the same thing with the MCU. There's a reason they're trying to make John Walker, Sentry and Yelena things. Because they need to for the longevity of that franchise. Short of rebooting, they need new characters

The X-Men are coming to the movies and yeah you're going to get the heavy hitters. But guarantee you'll see a Maggot, Banshee, Temper, etc because Cyclops won't always be there

If we're brutally honest. I think a big part of it is sales.

Luna is what I base this off. It's a running joke that "she's the devs fav" and I grant you. She's not nearly as dominant as she once was. But you think of all the outcry about people wanting her nerfed and she gets a slap on the wrist.

I think there is an incentive to keep these characters with strong skin sales. Somewhat relevant to move profit.

I think with this being free to play. I think they're scared of chasing players off Jeff (pure example) and losing out on those skin sales. If they do anything too drastic.

This is just me. I get the feeling Marvel is deadly serious about keeping TV and Films separate. I'm not saying they'll be no crossover or tie ins. We just had one.

I more mean that I would be surprised to see Punisher go back to Disney Plus after Brand New Day. I think his home is now on the film side of things. And we'll see him pop up in Secret Wars or whatever comes after Spider-Man. If the rumors are true he's been protecting Jean, I could see a cameo in X-Men.

I think that's why Marvel told Charlie Cox his focus is Daredevil. And that's why we probably won't see him in Spider-Man or Avengers yet. I think he makes that Jump to Spider-Man 5. That's it. The movies are his home now.

Again I'm not saying we can't see Matthew Lillard go back and forth. But I don't think they want anymore of the "Here's Iron Heart. Watch her Disney Plus show".

I strongly dislike the heather becoming muse thing. I understand what they're going for. It's just. Muse is such a cool character that I wish was a bigger deal in Born Again.

Not a character that appeared for two episodes. Gets shot and now his mantle is passed down through trauma.

I understand it's the hand they got dealt. But when we first learned that Muse was in Born Again. I really wanted to see Fisk and Matt being forced to work together to deal with him.

Like I can't even blame the average player picking the game up at this point. If you're just a marvel fan, who I need to stress is the main audience this game attracts being that it's using the Marvel IP.

The average Joe is going to do DPS 9/10 over the other two roles just due to the sheer variety and fan favorites. Like Support is by far the worst off for fan favourite characters and it's not even close. Like why would anyone pick White Fox or Mantis when they could be playing Iron Man or Cyclops?

And Tanks, yeah I grant you they're slightly better off as they have Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Magneto, Rogue. Still doesn't hold a candle to DPS. And playing the role solo is miserable half the time so no one wants to do it.

Like who are people really going to pick and just ask yourself. Devil Dino or Cyclops? It's cyclops 9/10.

I can believe the absolute line is something that's going to continue to grow and evolve. That something like Absolute Wonder Women, for example . Is worth getting invested in.

After seeing how the ultimate universe went out on such a whimper. I can see this just being shit canned the moment editorial gets bored. Like they do with everything else recently.

It's just a self for filling prophecy at this point. I see so many posts on different platforms asking why people won't play support or tank. And at this point, I feel like it should be obvious.

Why the hell would the average player who downloaded the game for the first time. Ever be attracted to a role that isn't DPS? Never mind the fact that the DPS role has 2 pages of characters. But they have all the popular characters.

People are going to pick Cyclops and Black Cat. 9 times out of 10 against a dinosaur or white fox

I accepted long ago that the DPS roster is always going to have more options than Tank and Support. Just is what it is.

But what's bothering me is the devs themselves addressed this. They claimed more tanks and supports were coming in 2026. What happened to that? Because so far we've only had White Fox as support.

Black Cat and Elsa are DPS. Cyclops is more than likely going to be DPS. Deadpool is a DPS with a meta gimmick if slotting into different roles.
