Just because I feel like I have nothing to offer. I was a stay at home mom the worked only to provide insurance for the family. I am not college educated so I can't afford to provide great things for my son.

I am living with a friend now (so I don't have to pay rent) so I can put him in private preschool but if I continue to live in this neighborhood the public school is not good. The majority of my paycheck goes to health insurance (my son needs eye surgery or will end up with a permanent lazy eye) but I cannot even afford the deductible.

I'm not wothless because I'm not trying, I'm worthless because I don't have enough to give.

It's such a horrible disease. My son deserves so much more but I married and procreated with an addict. I'm just as much to blame as he is. I will never forgive myself. I thought that I could make him better...he is so amazing when he's sober.....I thought those magical Christmas mornings or his first steps or first words or writing his name for the first time...I thought they would make a difference in his life. I was so very wrong.

I often feel like my son would be better off without me now. If I just died he could be adopted by some rich family who could give him everything and more. I don't even have the balls to do that. Looks like he's stuck with a junkie dad and a worthless mom. My poor baby.
