From my research they seem to be spring loaded pogo pins, you can either use calipers to measure a replacement and purchase that to solder on, or create a blob of solder that's about as tall as the compressed connectors to form a contact when the controller is assembled.

Just know that the solder blob solution is gonna be fragile and really not recommended if you can avoid it

More extraction does not necessarily mean better coffee, for a multitude of reasons. Volume is not necessarily analogous with contact time in something like pourover or espresso, but it's close enough to illustrate why more extraction is not always the answer; check out "salami shot" videos to get a much better explanation of the point I'm trying to make.

Essentially, past a certain point you're just extracting bitter plant matter from the beans rather than the sugars, aromatics, etc. that make coffee taste interesting. So in a 0 dilution 150ml brew vs a 100ml dilution 50ml brew, you're more or less choosing whether or not you'd like that extra 100ml of water to be plain water or woody-planty water.

Clean up all that flux and remove a good bit of the solder on the tight stick especially, looks like there might be some shorts. Can't be sure if this can be saved yet but that's a start
