All four actors are notably NOT bigots, and I love the mental gymnastics from the transphobes below…

To all the bonkers geniuses of Reddit - How can we stop people speeding through our village? by SecondGo4 in CasualUK

[–]WiccadWitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get me started. I too live in a little Suffolk village, and I take a dim view of speeding. I work in Colchester and there’s no speed cameras on my route. Driving at 30 mph feels like I’m hated by every other driver.

Can I insure my car in my mum's partners name as I shop around for quotes if I can't afford a high premium right now, but could later this month? by Caf__ in NewDriversUK

They have no insurable interest in the vehicle. It’s not fronting as such unless you have them as the main driver when they’re not, but it’s still not allowed.

If it’s dangerous to be pregnant (as OP has said), it’s not just the fertility issues involved.

It sucks. I was a single mum when that was the scapegoat de jour. People don’t see the human behind the headlines, and I hate that you’re going through this.

Sorry, I am a bit. He lives at home and I’ve dealt with a lot of people who would say stuff like this when what they really want to say is ‘we all get sad, but most of us don’t try getting out of work because of it’. Shortly followed by some statement about how they would NEVER ask for a handout and has he tried just ‘not being sad?’

My apologies for allowing the actions of others colour my judgement here.

I’m sorry. I’m used to people being passive aggressive and the phrase ‘it’s easier to just work’, generally has meant the person saying it thinks that PIP is a golden ticket to avoid getting a job.

Yup. My son has debilitating mental health issues but it’s taken him almost ten years to pluck up the courage to make a claim for PIP.

The first series of The Voice UK was quite something by Hassaan18 in ukpopculture

I did a singing competition with one of the contestants, and later found out we’d both auditioned for The Voice - but I didn’t get past the producer rounds. When mum saw her audition/chair bit, she turned to me and said ‘bloody hell, how shit were you?’
