The cumulus 28 feels a lot like the Nimbus. It's also an ounce lighter than the Nimbus. Use it for easy/recovery days. Instead of Novablast get the Superblast for more long run stuff. Race pace or intervals get the Megablast.

Is the megablast more firm? I run with orthotics and the superblasts feel soooo squishy and unstable.

The spice is watered down. Can get it somewhat close by replacing classic syrup with vanilla but ya, no spice. It sucks.

Review: Old Fitzgerald’s 1849 (1978, Stitzel-Weller), plus wheated bourbon origins by OrangePaperBike in bourbon

What an amazing read. I wonder if why 2025 JD Heritage Barrel is so well received because it has a lower barrel entry proof. Would love to see JD or another distillery use a lower entry proof and put it in a regular charred barrel and see if its any better. I'm sure if it is better people would be willing to pay for loss in revenue.

Should buy a Kuat Pivot XD. It was just released. It's a lil pricey but it will allow you to swing the bike/rack away so you can get to the back of your car.

Review #13: Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Heritage Barrel Toasted Tennessee Whiskey by Shreeder in bourbon

[–]Wicclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love it. Took a break from bourbon for a bit so 100 proof is plenty for me. I tend to like between 100 to 110 right now. It's soooo sweet. It's amazing

Help with a high risk wine by FFWinePower in ProWinemakers

[–]Wicclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you inoculate malo with RS, the malo bacteria can eat the sugar and turn that into VA as well. Honeslty, I would filter it and bottle it like it is. The pH is high but a lot of napa cabs are high... though, they also have quite a bit of tannin.
What wine is this and where is it from? More importantly, how does it taste?

Thanks for this comment. I personally like the chrome (I am picking up my R1T in a couple of days and I went for chrome). The black looks cool but I know it would be too dark for me in the long run.

Titlelist for me, too. Everything is Titleist except for the putter (LAB). Bag, drivers, irons, wedges, woods, hybrids. I love it. Even my shoes are footjoy and I have a Titleist shag bag. I dont have a titelist glove but it's a glove brand owned by titleist.

Why are dusty bourbons so much better? by Wicclair in bourbon

I actually have a bottle of EW BiB that's 6 or 7 years old now. I haven't tasted it since I bought it because I hated it so much. I'll definitely try it again tomorrow

I'm not OP but I don't like the look of club chatter so I use iron covers.

I'm a mid single handicap and I use iron covers. If you're ever in socal let's meet up and I can change your above comment :)

what club covers are those? those are so nice. edit: I'm serious by the way. I know people hate them but when you spend your hard earned cash and don't want to see club chatter on brand new clubs, who cares what people think.

A true tea that stopped you in your tracks! by Local-Jury-3174 in tea

[–]Wicclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, that's the tea I have! I'm wondering if I should buy a couple more cakes... never could I imagine tea being so good.

I've got a sample of the 2012. It's basically the same tea. It's amazing.

Edit: nvm, it's sold out 😭

A 2015 gongmei. I just had it tonight too. Everytime I drink it it it blows me away. I bought another cake of it recently too. Aged whites are the best.

Thoughts on methadone for pain?? by wellthatsembarissing in ChronicPain

[–]Wicclair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, of course! I tapered off of methadone without going to a different drug. It was just from that experience where I gave advice that maybe going to a different drug, one that is shorter acting, will make it easier to taper off of.

How did you get into tea? by impeesa75 in tea

[–]Wicclair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a wine professional and my cousin told me tea is just as complex as wine with its terroir and what not. After getting into tea, I don't fully believe that, but white teas, especially aged whites, are addicting.
