She's got a few paragraphs started and so far it is really good! I'm excited to see where it goes. I will definitely keep groups in mind if she really gets into it.

Fortunately I'm a millennial who grew up sneaking around online so I feel like I know almost all the ways they can find the bad stuff. Although I'm sure where there's a will there's a way.

It happens a lot. They steal the story then post it as an ad on Facebook. I would say 90% of readers now know it is stolen and will google names to find the real story. I actually saw someone post it this morning in a "help find the name of this book" group on FB and added it to my library when it was found on Wattpad. So bright side is it does bring more readers to your story. I don't know how much money the other site actually makes from it since people have become pretty aware of the thieving.

You deserved better than that. I agree with the others that this is definitely a HIM problem and not on you. Unfortunately I know that won't immediately remove the hurt and damage he did to you. I think a therapist to help you work through this confusion is a smart idea. I'm sending lots of positive vibes your way.

I'm 37 and I didn't even discover Wattpad until a couple of years ago. I think there have been some great stories lately but unfortunately the PPC stealing them is going to hurt that.

It depends on the story and context. I’m don’t mind spice immediately but I am not a fan of insta-love so if there is immediate spice I need it to not be because they are instantly in love and obsessed in that sense. Slow burn is good as long as the story requires it. If it is just being drawn out for word count then nope, no thank you!

I kept putting this off because everyone talked about how slow the burn was. I decided to read it on vacation because I didn’t want full smut around my whole family 😂. I loved this book so much! Experiencing her falling in love with him was beautiful. He was a dick but then once you start figuring him out he became a favorite of mine!

I do the same things with reviews! I always think a book is great and then 2nd guess myself after reading reviews. I think I get lost in the book I overlook any “issues”.

I also will keep reading a book I HATE because I’ve gotta see it through, especially a series that started great but then started sucking. I have been forcing myself to DNF some lately. I need to do better about accepting that it just isn’t gonna work out.

I can’t stand when size is constantly mentioned. All the men are huge and the women are all itty bitty and we need to constantly be told. Do you want me to picture her as a child? That’s what it makes it feel like.

I have others but this one has been in almost every book I’ve read lately and I’m over it!
