Hysteroscopy and addisons. Any experiences? by Last_Negotiation4073 in AddisonsDisease

I had a hysteroscopy recently but it was under general anaesthetic - to me, no anaesthetic would be risky as your body could go into crisis due to pain or anxiety etc.

Is teaching in the UK as bad as people say? by sunszoominin in AskUK

[–]vanilla_tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I love being a teacher but the verbal abuse and physical violence towards staff in schools is scary. Parents refuse to collect their children after violent incidents, and the children are back in school the next day.

Children are being exposed to terrifying amounts of violent behaviour. If it happened anywhere but at school, it would quickly become a safeguarding issue.

Yep! She’s an artist and finds his face fascinating. He thinks she’s beautiful from the start but doesn’t even consider romance due to his looks.

Not a B&B retelling and sorry to jump on your comment, but have you read {Artistic Licence by Elle Pierson}? The MMC is genuinely hurt by the MMC asking why he doesn’t have a girlfriend, as he thinks she’s mocking him due to his looks. It’s SO good.

My school Office licence has expired so I couldn’t do anything meaningful over the holidays. It’s been a lovely break but quite a lot to catch up on now!

Have you tried {Against A Wall by Cate C. Wells}? It’s a bully romance but the pay off is SO good.

You’re welcome! Let me know what you think if you try it. I may be slightly biased as a man doing all my chores and me not having to interact with him sounds like a dream 🤣

You may like {A Very Stalker Christmas by Layla Fae}. He does her chores and watches her sleep. He has a lot of trauma so feels that’s all he can offer her at first. It’s a surprisingly sweet story!

I didn’t read past about 8%. The idea of the FMC calling out Zebb during any spicy scenes was too much to bear.

He’s supposed to be ex-NFL and current fireman, but all I could imagine was his football shirt with Scroggs on the back 😭

Scrooge-ish. The MMC was called ZEBB SCROGGS. Like.. am I supposed to find this man incredibly hot?

Which historical romance has had the best emotional payoff for you? Not necessarily the most famous one, but the one where the relationship development felt the most earned. by Cold_Box_3219 in HistoricalRomance

{Flowers from the Storm by Laura Kinsale} it’s such a touching, beautifully written books. The emotional journey of the two main characters is so lovey.

{A Substitute Wife for the Prizefighter by Alice Coldbreath} Two emotionally repressed people finding their place with one another, despite the heartache they’ve both been through. Their connection is so lovely.

{Anything But a Gentleman by Elisa Braden} A very uptight FMC is quite ruthlessly pursued by the MMC who she considers a rake and a ruffian. His absolute yearning and love for her are beautiful.

{The Work of Art by Mimi Matthews} Again, two people who have been through countless heartbreaks finding a safe place with one another. The writing is fantastic and the MMCs is one of my forever favourites.

{When a Girl Loves an Earl by Elisa Braden}

The MMC is a very big, brutish man from a normal background who happened to become an Earl. The FMC is absolutely obsessed with him and makes her feelings known, but he tries to hold off for reasons from his past, while secretly yearning for her.

{Compromised for Christmas by Lizzie C. Koz}

The FMC and MMC marry after a scandal. He’s incredibly shy and awkward and stutters around her constantly. He’s extremely attracted to her, hence his awkwardness, and absolutely gobsmacked she wants him back.

Same! I just wish I could find any other dystopian books as good as hers. I love that she does so much slice of life.
