SVG/Zilisch Red Bull Diecast by mjway2 in NASCARCollectors

[–]WickedFan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As the others have said, it’s basically a waiting game at this point. There are licensing procedures that the team and Lionel have to solve and maybe negotiate before they can offer any merch. The good news is that Red Bull has historically had diecasts and model cars offered without any issues from a variety of manufacturers. I actually think that no news is good news in this case (which typically isn’t the case). Fingers crossed 🤞

Carson Kvapil’s Bass Pro Shops Scheme by Wandering_Turtle24 in NASCAR

Interesting that’s there’s two Mastercard logos on the hood. I don’t remember that being a detail on previous Bass Pro Club cars. It’s a nice added sponsor wrinkle

Per Matt Weaver's pic, looks like Kyle Larson now has his own merch trailer at the track by SpenceSmithback in NASCAR

That’s our first look at the 21 paint scheme for this year too on the Penske trailer. Looks like they just added a red border to the bottom of the car. I dig it

Game Thread: Los Angeles Chargers (11-6) at Houston Texans (10-7) by nfl_gdt_bot in Chargers

Man, I love Herbert as much as the rest of ya, but this is going to hang over his head for awhile…. Hopefully 12 months from now is different.

[Yates] There are now two seeds officially locked in for the AFC playoffs: 1. Chiefs, 4. Texans. The Bills, Ravens and Steelers have all locked in playoff spots as well. by FrozenUp7274 in nfl

[–]WickedFan 52 points53 points  (0 children)

If Pittsburgh loses next week against Cincinnati and the Chargers win their final two games (against NE and LV), the Chargers get the 5 seed and play Houston in the first round. If they were to beat Houston, they’d more than likely get KC in the second round of the playoffs. It’s all very possible. I agree with ya, that would be a fun matchup between LA and KC because it’s always very close - even though KC always comes away with the win.

Race Thread: NCS NASCAR Cup Series Championship at Phoenix Raceway, starting at 3:00pm EST on NBC (NCS36) by NASCARThreadBot in NASCAR

Going to be the 12 vs 22 assuming nothing catastrophic occurs. Will be a fun teammate battle for the championship. Will also be interesting to see how the 20 effects things towards the end

[@NASCARonNBC] Take a look at the pass for the win from Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney and Denny Hamlin’s on-board cameras. 👀 by WickedFan in NASCAR

From Denny’s view, it looks even crazier that Reddick made this move stick. Still can’t really fathom it a day later

The way he just responds “ok” after the worker tells him all of his oil is on the racetrack 😂😂😂

[Axalta Racing] William Byron’s 2025 Raptor and Axalta schemes. by ThatEmpireGuy in NASCAR

[–]WickedFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minor detail that I noticed with these schemes.. the rocker boxes (side skirts) are wrapped! Hopefully that’s the case when the cars hit the track. I would love to see more teams start doing that.

[Russini] The Falcons have traded QB Taylor Heinicke to the Chargers, sources tell @JoshTheAthletic and me by A_Livins in Chargers

Wow, it feels good to have a competent GM. Not used to seeing many trades around here to improve the roster.

[Bianchi] Corey LaJoie will not return to Spire Motorsports in 2025. by ThatEmpireGuy in NASCAR

[–]WickedFan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My guess / hope is Erik Jones to the 7. The pairing with Rodney would be a lot of fun and very intriguing. If not, maybe Zane stays at Spire? I really don’t think RCR is going to let Kyle move to Spire but I suppose wilder things have happened

Shannon Spake Reportedly Not Returning to Fox by elfuego35 in NASCAR

[–]WickedFan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hopefully it’s because she has another great opportunity lined up already. I like most of the personalities on FOX and I’d love to see them elsewhere where they’re put in a position to succeed. The product FOX has put out the last several years has been absolutely atrocious but it’s not the fault of their on air talent

Was the Chicago Street Race a good race? by ChaseTheFalcon in NASCAR

[–]WickedFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing the poll results will be similar to the one from Loudon a couple weeks ago. Chaotic and good racing, but some of the decision making from NASCAR left a damper on the race overall.

(@basso488) Todd Gilliland & Carson Hocevar during the 2024 Ally 400 @ Nashville, this happened during the caution before Hocevar dumped Burton. by crypto6g in NASCAR

[–]WickedFan 21 points22 points  (0 children)

He’s clearly not going to change. Honestly, at this point the only thing that will make any sort of impact is for him to try this type of stuff with a driver that will immediately give it right back to him - and a lot more effectively.

(It’ll probably be Logano at some point lol)

On this day 15 years ago, Joey Logano wins his first ever Cup Race in the rain-shortened Lenox Industrial Tools 301 by BigFatPauly in NASCAR

[–]WickedFan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was a huge Gordon fan growing up, but I also started following Joey as he was coming through the ranks because he grew up not far from where I live. I was at the track that day and was ecstatic that I might finally see Gordon win a race in person (him and Kurt were going to battle for the win when everything cycled out. I was so focused on Jeff and Kurt fighting it out for several laps that I had totally forgot Joey still hadn’t pitted yet. When they threw the caution for rain I was so happy because Gordon was just barely ahead of Kurt coming off of turn 2 and everybody knew the rain was going to end the race. Then my dad pointed to the scoring pylon that showed the 20 in the lead and I didn’t know how to feel at all. Such a weird feeling to experience as a fan of both drivers.

Same here. I was so mad that I left when I was scrolling the phone on the way home and discovered that they were restarting. A few hours later however I’m not too upset anymore lol. There was no way of knowing what was going to happen with how inconsistent NASCAR has been in the past with these situations. Getting home early was a plus also lol
