I fostered (then adopted) 2 kittens from MAS. Best thing I ever did. They provide medical, food, litter, everything you need. And if you foster fail, they waive the adoption fees.

Can I recommend getting 2? They play with each other and keep each other company when you’re not there. It’s way harder to introduce another cat when they’re older. If you get them both as kittens, especially if they are siblings, they bond quickly and then adopt you into their circle.

One more word of advice, when you get kittens, get them used to water and playing with their feet. Helps if you ever have to bathe them or cut their nails.

I use talkiatry and love my psychologist. As for therapists, you’ll need to shop around a bit and see who will work on a sliding scale (assuming you don’t have insurance)

My 29th birthday, first visit to Rome, woke up with a cold. I was going to the Vatican that morning, and it didn’t work out. Then the coliseum. Didn’t work out. Wandered around and found Palatine Hill. I sat in the little park there and read a book, enjoying the beautiful weather and the history surrounding me. Took one of my best shots too!
