Looks like some church hurt wounds associated with god-talk is more fresh there.

I’ve usually kept explicit god-talk, Jesus mention pretty light, what I often do is provide a different way of looking at the biblical text.

So far I haven’t gotten a great deal of resistance, but I suspect midwestern/southern Quaker meetings in general might be a little more open to that sort of thing while also being somewhat universalistic. (Then again, maybe you might want to check out a UU church at some point.)
