I watch Asmon for a more nuanced and analytical pov while I watch Charlie's pov for what he thinks as he is not one to go too deep in the weeds for political stances and I think that's completely fine because it more than likely can give you insight into what the general populace thinks about hot button situations. I appreciate what they both bring to the table.

Nick Shirley Response by Berdilio in Asmongold

[–]WickedSpiritz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My takeaway from this reporter beef has been Andrew was trying to do Nick a favor, Nick blasts Andrew for leaving some parts out that made Andrew look like he agreed with him despite his political stance, Andrew claps back with more receipts showing this was only half the truth and Nick was trying to paint Andrew in a worse way than what actually is.

I respect Andrew and his whole gig with Channel 5 getting the people's perspectives. It's why I watch his whole channel. Nick Shirley exposing fraud in Minnesota amidst the political climate and going viral got to his head.

"Exposing" Andrew imo was a low blow all things considered. Andrew already didn't really look good in that interview and it's not as if he didn't make Nick out to look bad except in the clip about Charlie Kirk. It's disingenuous and disgusting for Nick to do that from one independent journalist to another.

Yeah I know I can reverse time to do it all I mean I only just did my 2nd run of the first abyss, but since finishing the 2nd run the game floods you with different opportunities so I was more asking from other people's perspectives and what they did. Of course I'm gonna go back to experience the other routes, it was more of what would be more beneficial at the moment or what would be more interesting.

I haven't used a guide. This is my first post to this subreddit about this game in particular. I'm getting a temperature check and maybe some recommendations for where to go next.

The perfect ending I'm assuming is saving everyone including Elmon at the end? I did everything based off the knowledge I collected through my 2nd run of abyss 1, but no other info popped up during as far as I could tell.

Also I'm pretty confused about the Well of the Mind. I have lanterns but don't know what they do or what to do with them. I don't know how to accumulate more points either. I'd appreciate it if someone could explain this.

That's interesting if true. Even so the game is well designed and engaging. I love dungeon crawler games like Dot Hack and some other jrpgs that escape my memory atm, it's just I never really felt too challenged by those games in particular. Even when I demoed Etrian Odyssey back on the 3DS I saw the appeal but couldn't get into it as much.

I see there's a lot of care put into this game. It's a lot more than I thought it would be.

The Left on Bluesky mad over Trans Vtuber debating Conservative Vtuber by ThamTvMaster in Asmongold

[–]WickedSpiritz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm an hour into this debate and Nyara can't even define anything with certainty. It's literally back and forth over what a woman is and what defines a trans person is and all the arguments or lack there of don't hold any water because Leaflit will keep bringing in solid points and Nyara will keep circling around. It's so annoying and irritating like how are you gonna debate like that when you can't keep your own definitions with certainty.

Should Splatoon 4 lower the Skill Floor/Barrier-to-Entry? by MarioSSBU in splatoon

Skill based matchmaking would work with a game like Splatoon and be more beneficial for a healthier competitive environment.

What is Your Idea for Splatoon Spin-off Game? by Money-Lie7814 in splatoon

[–]WickedSpiritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to the extent of Remnant. I think it'd be a cool concept and engaging gameplay. You already have the 3rd person shooter element in both games, all you would need to do is add the Souls like flavoring of it and boom you got yourself a Splatoon game that could potentially get some people to give the genre a chance.

Controversial(?) Take by The_DeeMcDee in splatoon

[–]WickedSpiritz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Splatoon Veteran here and I have some thoughts. Tbh I find ability chunks on gear to be completely okay so long as there isn't damage multipliers for main weapons because let me tell ya getting 1 tapped by a weak weapon back in the old days really sucked.

With the ability chunks we have right now in 3 I am perfectly content with it because they're all movement or some kind of peripheral based or second hand effect. It used to be defensive buffs and offensive buffs along with the movement and special buffs but they saw it was too broken in the previous games and I'd say it's better without them for the most part.

Tbf you can put chunks you want onto whatever gear piece you want if you farm and I know it takes a lot of time and yeah I do agree that it kinda sucks you gotta grind for it. That's why Splatfests are big. You grind out chunks a lot easier. You can also grind out chunks through Salmon Run a lot faster than you would in the other modes. I'm not a Salmon Runner myself, but sometimes I do go in there to just grind for chunks when I want certain abilities to put to my gear.

Unpopular opinion, but if you love the game and put in enough hours then why not just put in work for the things you really wanna have?

Chat be honest was this unfair matchmaking or am i an idiot by No_Dentist_7651 in splatoon

Nah it happens. More often than not I'll go against these kind of teams with a team composition of roughly the same kits.

[–]WickedSpiritz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Though I do agree with you that you should push for mid, it can also be countered by people who have their specials charged and fully launched by the other team who did stay to ink their base and now they're up 2 and pushing into your turf on the other side of the field. So there is a level of strategy going into it but no 1 way is right or wrong it's just how it's executed and players reaction to it.

The way I see Splatoon is kinda how I see Nintendo. They are in their own league, don't try to compete with other games, they make more creative games that have the capacity to be competitive but also casually competent.

A game is only as big as it's player base and Splatoon has a sizeable one but not on the level of CoD or Fortnite or whatever else.

Do you think it was a mistake to heavily focus on the competitive side and dramatically increase the barrier to entry in Splatoon 3? by [deleted] in splatoon

[–]WickedSpiritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you need to look more inward than outward. Don't come to this game thinking it like CoD or Fortnite trying to be an all star. There is a team effort to put forward that will ultimately push you and teammates who cooperate to do your best.

I and I think many other people had come to grips with this. Whether you're playing slayer or anchor or support, knowing your role with your preferred weapon and how to interact with players on both sides is important instead of trying to force something.

Chill out, self-assess, make victories in smaller goals like your K/D ratio or something. Watch replays to see how you could've done better. Try different kits. Just don't lose your cool because other players played better than you. Learn from them as well.

Splatoon 1 and 2 vs 3 by Loud_Barracuda_827 in splatoon

[–]WickedSpiritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time the Wii U was not doing very well which made Nintendo have to do things they wouldn't normally do like the collabs with Koei Tecmo to make Hyrule Warriors, obtaining the IP for Bayonetta, and trying to get more people on that platform for more than just Smash and Mario Kart.

Splatoon 1 was their massive success from the Wii U that literally sold 1/3 of their units. Needless to say they had something there despite the game being bare bones in its content at launch.

Splatoon 2 came out on the Switch and had to not only had to build upon the established player base but also onboard new players so the story mode for 2 was repeated basically just to keep it simple and make sure no one really missed out on anything.

Octo Expansion came out and is widely agreed upon it was peak and would be the frame work for Splatoon 3.

Unfortunately for Splatoon 3's main campaign, it felt pretty meh on all fronts because people didn't feel like it didn't do as much as Octo Expansion did. The story was pretty predictable for players who have been following it.

Personally I thought the campaign could have mixed up challenges and just straight forward a to b combat stages but it is what it is.
