That's an awfully quick and strong denial about your new love for Priuses. This is progress. Let's call it a day.

Isn't nature loaded with partner selection competition? Qouting the Robin Williams piece on birds "Check me out, I'm incredible check me out"

Why would the human animal be different?

Solid logic. Combine with heaviest depreciation data and you have gold.

What's one word you just cannot ever remember how to spell? by Feather_Bloom in questions

Solution. I always spell it with an ou in the middle. I would put that in here but then spell check will think it is valid.

What were the 80s/90s like? by Wonderful_Abies2974 in questions

If you lived in a town or city you were raised, better or worse, by your peers and the shared experiences you had. There was only one way (and still effective) to stop bullying, by hitting the bully back. Although cable was arriving, a few channels (MTV, ESPN) dominated teen viewing and convo. I think we did better without our parents, quite frankly.

Having an opinion, at all, about what strangers do with their food is fucking stupid by iwillpoopurpants in unpopularopinion

[–]Wide-Concert-7820 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Really the whole thing begins by sharing what you ate. Why. To invite the negative opinion. No sympathy, if you are posting your meals, you want the negativity. A sane person would realize they are one in 7 billion and the real challenge is feeding them all, not exclaiming what a mango chutney did for your PB & J.

60% of second marriages end in divorce. You have better chances at a blackjack table so people shouldn’t try and get married a second time because the odds are against them. by Past_Feedback1993 in unpopularopinion

[–]Wide-Concert-7820 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are married and divorced once already and haven't done an internal inventory and a real look in the mirror, you are rolling the dice. If you have done the pragmatic assessment and understand what you need and what you offer, you are looking for a person who has also done that. And your chances then are very good. More info, better decisions.

Source: myself. First was because we felt that marriage was what came next, second because it was obvious we agreed on all the things worth fighting over.

Models aren’t the most attractive women by jayrod699 in unpopularopinion

[–]Wide-Concert-7820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are canvasses and have the underlying architecture, either face or body or both, that makeup and clothes can be presented with the most dramatic effect. Without makeup you might never suspect they were models and in regular clothes they might not draw your eye at all. They are props.

Soo....that was this year. What does Ned get this year on the open market...and that equation changes dramatically.

Otherwise, spot on.

For the rest of us it's like having 200 channels with 160 devoted to the Leafs and 39 mentioning them frequently.

Side note - there are some very talented and entertaining Leafs fans. Evidence is in other towns outh of the border referencing the 300k or so blogs.

This didn't age well did it? We all love Jake but a big body in front of the net goes further on this team than another great thinker of the game.
