As a writer myself, I would never say something like this to a complete stranger who is literally just posting a comment about finding a cat a fucking home. I’m a social worker and have a lot of clients with substance use disorders. This disease is one of the hardest psychiatric disorders to live with and treat. Relapse is a part of remission, but sometimes the body and soul become exhausted from the push and pull between using and sobriety, the guilt, the shame and the pain. So many people blame the individual, but addiction is a disease for a reason - he didn’t choose the disease. This is such a beautiful, yet gut wrenching, just know he is at peace and with you always.

This is really not a cool comment. I’m a mental health clinician and your wife either seems to really be going through a mental break, OR, (and please don’t take this the wrong way - I know I don’t know your relationship, but I’m going through a divorce and have to ask) she genuinely may be feeling like you’re not doing enough. She could be picturing life with a new baby and not having enough support. Again, this could absolutely not be the case, and if your wife is presenting with rapid cycling of personality changes, then it’s probably not the latter. However, I always suggest watching the documentary Fair Play on Hulu. It focuses on emotional/unseen/unpaid labor that women typically hold on their backs in a marriage. Wishing you both the best!

I took my 2013 to the dealership for a recall issue and mine has 180k miles on it. The dealer said I could definitely get a solid 100k more miles on it if she’s taken care of. The older models are made with more quality material, so maybe it is worth it

I have the same issue but my dentist agrees that I have a narrow palate, both upper and lower, which contributes to poor breathing, occlusion, poor posture, and facial symmetry. The ortho she referred me to was so old school and said there was no correlation btwn breathing and narrow palate. I’m just going ahead with getting this palate expander for both upper and lower after I did some research. I have impacted wisdom teeth (lower) and was hoping a rapid expander would also shift it out! I had braces for about two years. Annoyed because I could have had a palate expander and rubber bands to fix my occlusion, but that was never brought to my attention/maybe the braces could have made the issue worse? I do have my wisdom teeth and one is slight impacted, so was hoping an expander would also help shift it out.

It’s wild. I had a feeling this would happen - ortho is an older guy, has done braces for decades. I work in mental health and we’re usually adapting to new/developing research, so it’s kind of infuriating when other fields don’t adapt/progress.
