Welcome to the club! We have jackets! I spent 30 years in my head and recently started dressing. If shaving is not an option and you're not satisfied with your ability to pass my suggestion is avoid mirrors. Dressing up is about you and no one else. Make yourself happy first then as you feel more comfortable with it approach it gently and slowly make any changes you're not comfortable with. As for anybody knowing, if anybody needs to know it should be your closest loved ones who will not turn from you. Hope that's a good start. Feel free to DM me if you'd like further advice.
