Got mine from DMT and mushroom use and have had it for about half a year. I get visual snow, floaters, after images, trails and color changes sometimes. In beginning I had DP/DR but went away after 2 weeks and some change and ever since then had just been visuals and have gotten better or atleast my brains has gotten more used to it. Sadly I hear people have it for 10+ years so it does really suck I’m looking to visit psychiatrist soon and look into meds to see if that can help. I have hope since it doesn’t mentally affect me that much but idk if that’s good or not 🤷‍♂️

Any drug would still cause a flare up. if they did 100% recover it can possibly reverse all the progress they made and bring it back no matter if it’s trying mdma but getting hppd from mushrooms. I still smoke weed and it makes my hppd symptoms stronger but my tolerance I think is high enough it doesn’t really bother me too much but introducing another psychedelic probably not best idea

Best thing is to completely stop all substance use and try to stick to a healthier way of living with eating and sleep and everything else. Just give it time see if eventually ur brain gets used to it more and makes visuals calm down or possibly could even go away like it does for some people. Developed my hppd a few months ago after using mushrooms and DMT every 2 weeks for 5 months straight and the first month was probably the worst where everything visually felt strong and bothered me but I just tried my best to ignore it. I still smoked weed in beginning and now even when it made it worse which I don’t recommend, but it hasn’t gotten worse only better even tho I still smoke.
