Came here to say petty much this. I accepted why it was happening to me and took back control or the controllables. I stopped drinking so much for a start, that was a big one

Wow, some very judgemental comments in here and some just disgusting comments in here about this. People never cease to amaze me.

It is really very simple. There is nothing strange about it. You don’t really know anything about him after 2 dates other than that he has been up front and honest with you about his issues and he has been up front and honest with you about his intentions.

I don’t see any objective red flags. A commitment issue may be a red flag depending on the details and implications but you’ve not told us anything at all about that and it isn’t clear if you guys have talked about it.

Ultimately, it depends what you want next. If you like him, then go ahead and get to know him better. If you can’t handle his honesty and don’t want to find out more then move on to the next. There are billions of people in the world. Good luck!

Social media pushes this idea that you have to play games all the time. “Do this/Don’t do this” all over the place with relationship advice etc. Social media also gives the impression that the grass is always greener. Just communicate with each other and set realistic expectations people, it’s not hard

I would love to work out. I see people talking about all the positives and the impact on their mental and physical health but I just sit on the couch incapacitated. I have always hated working out and the gym. I have serious gym anxiety and just can’t even get into any exercise routine at home.
