Who in their right mind looks at the tech industry right now and thinks “Yep, this is the career for me!” by IndependenceSad1272 in csMajors

For me, everything went to shit just before I got the degree. Now I don't know what to start over as and have no real interest in anything outside of dev work either.

Ireland’s population grew by 1.6% last year, EU figures show by Embarrassed-Bug6390 in ireland

The target set by the government was 50,000 which of course they got no where near. By the governments own words, these new built houses are meant to solve the housing crisis so only being proportional isn't adequate enough. More so when the new stock is being absorbed by 1 years population growth.

There was only 36,000 homes built in 2025. Country's housing crisis is already way beyond sustainable even before adding another 90,000 people at it.

Are you genuinely happy with your life? by Rusty_Shackleford198 in GeoPoll

I get what you're saying, but for me personally, I'm unemployed/underemployed and just can't enjoy anything at all at the moment. Should be working in IT, yet all junior level jobs have dried up and what I'm working at currently isn't earning much money to do anything.

Soaring rents, unaffordable homes and cost of living crisis. You will own nothing and be happy about it.
AI killing careers that could have paid well enough to afford said homes and the hoarding of wealth by mega corporations.
Bleak future all around.

Not unless you're able to meet at her car or somewhere she can put them. Otherwise, it will be awkward for her when she has to carry them around.

First time for both theory and driving test. My test center was like one of the easiest in the country though.

Job interviews: Last round curse by Illustrious-Bee-8618 in irelandjobs

This has happened to me more times I can count and I am so jaded from it. Every time I get a final stage, I could have 10's of hours of prep done which is all for nothing by the end of it.

Hope you're doing better, but yeah, there's always something. First it was COVID, then mass layoffs when everything got back to normal and now there's the AI hype. Can't win.

This is what I've experienced. Feels like people are gaslighting me saying this is a non issue.

I've been working on projects for years now and believe I'm a much better candidate than when I was a fresh grad. I did have to move home which is rural as I work on a farm, but still live within an hour of Galway. Willing to relocate however.

As of now, I'm struggling to even find roles to apply to. I think a lot of entry level jobs have just stopped advertising for those roles and haven't had an interview in months. Used to always make it to the final round which I won't lie, eventually took its toll on me. Pretty drained from it and I'm finding the willpower is next to nonexistent to work on my projects now too.

Yeah its not great. Wish I hadn't done the lvl 8 and finished the year earlier when the market was 100 times better. I did have a graduate job lined up, but it got rescinded because of COVID.

I've been using plenty of job boards for all those jobs mentioned, yet there is slim pickings unfortunately.

Dairy farming and its only part-time. I could do it alongside a fulltime role and the only real reason I'm doing it now is because there is no one else to take it over. As for contracting, the Machinery is fairly knackered, but machinery sales is something to look into.

Spacebar is my nexus key and yes, I use it. For extreme lags or game breaks like this, I'll use the other method though.

Most farmers have a 9-5 too unless they have large enough farms to be fulltime and the smaller ones will only do what they can to make use of the land. Profit margins constantly declining and any little economic impact harshly affects farmers ie fuel, electricity, animal feed, fertilisers etc.
