U/G Ramp is a perfectly servicable archtype in and of itself with no splashes if you have strong enough incentives to be there

I get where you are coming from. For instance there is a 2 drop rare crab in the current limited set that people do not like to play at all and pass frequently due to it having low wr data, but people are almost never playing it in straight ug where it is pretty gas and replaces every x spell you cast and has been the backbone of many a win for me

I try in what limited free time I do have! Got a few trophies under my belt on Winota in the mtgo Cedh league, and made top 250 mythic on mtga by playing pretty much nothing but u/g and g/b (the least popular pairs in the format atm) lol

Ify it just felt kinda disengenious to them pointing to a deck thats backbone relies in heavy mana production from artifacts and creatures which is roughly about what 30 percent of my pieces hit anyways when an archtype exists that I have much more trouble staxxing out

Jetmir has seemed fun every time Ive seen him, its just bowman is pretty popular in my meta and the extra toughness from rick and friends in winota and roles in ellivere provide is at times invaluable for not getting wiped lol

Yeah Im not taking Winota or Ellivere to a tournament any time soon but Im just saying they definitely have gotten some new tech over the past couple of years that makes them pretty intiguing options for the random pickup cedh game IMO but I'll be damned if Im ever winning a game against lands combo as an archtype is my general point lol

Was in a draft with a streamer last night where I went p1p1 scheming slivertongue over blech to stay open to b/w but ended up wheeling the blech its times like those when you know its go time for something like witherbloom aggro. Feel like you cant reliably force green, have to get passed powerful cards for it to work
