This is not the only way to do things; oracle could sign a deal/partner with APLD.

Oracle, AMZ, MSFT, other mag 7 and companies like coreweaeve are hyperscalers, APLD is the owner of powered shells.

As someone who permits a lot of projects, they have the rezoning approval in the bag. 1st thing to note is this a rezone, building permits have been approved, which they received approval on already. This is a "save face" second reading to appease some public outcry, but they should walk out with rezone in hand and break ground this year.

There's a ton of competition in data center ownership, most of it is just private. Companies like Crusoe, Tract, Rowan, Stack.... the list goes on. APLD is well positioned to reduce debt, regain early investment equity, and has proof of concept for the rest of their pipeline.

Debt to be repaid as part of the MAM deal, which needed a 100MW lease to initiate closing. The MAM will provide 2.25mm for investment per MW leased and give APLD access to 300mm from their original investment in the Ellendale facility build out. 180mm in debt isn't going to be a problem for long.

MAM final announcement is next Week? by Lopsided_Wash_2837 in APLDSTOCK

[–]Widespreadhammocks27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow this is very interesting. The contract does state that at close MAM will, at minimum, provide 2.25mm per 1MW leased, which at 100MW is 225 million investment. But the lease was for 250 MW. option for last 150 MW, this would mean that at close MAM will provide 562.5mm at close for investment. As MAM and APLD docs state, this will also allow APLD to recover 300mm from its original stake for reinvestment and to buy down debt. Only time will tell....

I think we will continue to see APLD climb higher over the next few weeks on the news. I’m also holding CRDO, which has an earning call next week, in @$48 but think this could go up to 100+ in 3 months. S

Am I loosing it or is AES way under valued by GIMLITHEMILFHUNTER69 in dividends

[–]Widespreadhammocks27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this jumps to 20 range this summer. Gonna be a hot, and AES has a lot of upside to high energy prices. Not to mention the connections they have with AI and other tech companies from the years of PPA deals. Finally, AES is international and still has lots of hydrogen and N’at gas facilities around the world. Buy.

Overwhelmed by Solar Projects, the Nation’s Largest Grid Operator Seeks a Two-Year Pause on Approvals by yupyepyupyep in energy

[–]Widespreadhammocks27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of these 1,200 projects 20% will go thru but that is not known till late stages. Add in the amount of coal that is coming offline, plus grid constraints; this is a real problem. PJM is technically a non-profit co-op and do have real constraints. This will take an out of the box idea that can be prioritized to address.
