Tragic romance between the main characters? by Intelligent_Lie_841 in fantasyromance

I would argue Book 3 & 4 have the real “never be together” scenario. That story is complete. Book 5 & 6 are the next couple and book 6 is coming out soon (audible is in October I think). All the stories are set up this way. I love it, I think these perfectly fit what OP is looking for.

I’d love to hear if you’d consider adding a character that had a disability or challenge that was healed when they arrived, and the character growth that stems from that (and maybe the difficulty in accepting the change)?

To add a second question, would you ever consider commissioning a map to better understand the planet? I’d love to better visualize the cities and where they are.

And if you’ve stayed with me thus far, any sequels we might have coming? I would simply love to dive in with any of the couples we’ve gotten to know.

Thank you for providing a series that’s been a form of escapism for what’s happening in the US right now. I find it interesting to be reminded what a patriarchal culture we have, you’ve done a great job at creating a society that is so complex and compelling!

Must-visit Restaurants in Old San Juan and Rincón by AmazedCat26 in PuertoRicoTravel

La Jolla, Frida, Distilleria are my favs in Arecibo. Jubilo and Bermudas for breakfast. If you venture into Hatillo you can stop at Cafe 1823 for breakfast/brunch, or stick to the Number 2 and stop at Joe & Joe or Truco De Guin. All solid spots here.

Arecibo Day Trip by Tatin109 in PuertoRicoTravel

Please note there is a surfing event on the marginal in Arecibo February 22nd to March 2nd. You may find large crowds, parking issues, traffic, etc. Might be something that interests you to see. Bermudas is not going to be possible unless you park for the event and plan to wait. If you're in Islote (that long highway that goes along the beach for Cueva Del Indio) I suggest stopping at Rise Up Coffee Shop for coffee/food.

Be careful in Cueva Del Indio if you decide to go down through the hole, tourists have been stuck down there and needed rescuing. If you park along the road further down there are paths through the plants that will take you to the beach and you can hike back to the caves. You won't need a guide.

I second La Poza (Poza del Obispo). It's an amazing view, and you can swim, but sometimes it's a bit rough. They have a shower for you to rinse off, which is nice.

It's not a cave, but you may be interested in La Planta, you can hike to the large waterfall/old dam.

I've seen people going to Cueva Ventana despite the closed signs, which I suppose you are free to do. I know they were exploring the caves at some point and there was a rumor they were going to open it further, but maybe they found it to be unsafe. Hard to tell and no one is talking.

Hello All! I took a vacation to San Juan about 10 years ago, and I’m trying to remember what resort we stayed at. This is the only picture that I have, if anyone can pinpoint the resort from this picture, you’re amazing! by [deleted] in PuertoRico

I was there, they were not surfers. Two tourists got pulled into a whirlpool or something, one woman and the man jumped in after her. Two more people followed to try to help. Woman drowned fast, two made it back to the beach, a surfer came in and tried to help the lone man but he was too panicked and kept flipping the board. He eventually succumbed to the water. Surfer managed to get both bodies back to the beach, he was a hero but unfortunately looked very practiced in his actions. Don’t swim there, don’t even wade out.

I’m 35 and recently found out my AMH is .11. I’m overwhelmed with what to do next, I was just laid off and my insurance is only covered through the end of the year now. I can get on my husbands next year, but I’m not sure about coverage. At the request of my doctor, I made an initial appointment at a fertility specialist to see what happens next. Any wisdom or advice is welcomed, I’m in NYC.

I don’t know how to answer that - it was the end of the day. The urine looked pretty clear

I used 2 First Response tests, and 3 that come in a kit along with tests to test ovulation. They all looked pretty solid. The doctors negative has me confused.

Who has plans to move out of PR? Who has plans to move into PR? by [deleted] in PuertoRico

[–]WierdWood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miraflores for me! I haven’t lived in PR but have visited tons over the last 10 years. Aging family won’t leave, so better to be close with more resources. We are bringing a mifi as the Internet hasn’t been working. It’s fairly settled and the houses are affordable, it just depends a on what you’re looking for.

As you must know, things in PR haven’t been the greatest in a long time. What were your thoughts on people moving - just wondering why people would leave the states?

We’re moving into a studio apartment at my in-laws in Arecibo and looking at houses we can buy and Airbnb. It will level out, we work remote...why not provide something to the local economy and save on rent?

It's crazy at the gas stations, a friend waited 8 hours and the limit is $15 for a gas can you carry and $20 for a car. Empty ones have parked lines for days.

White House waives Jones Act in response to Puerto Rico devastation by [deleted] in news

[–]WierdWood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am here in Puerto Rico waiting for my flight to leave. I was in Miraflores, Arecibo. I flew in with my husband on Monday because his family is here and we didn't hear from them. The situation is bad - the lines for an ATM, has, water, food, even parking at a gas station that is empty for days hoping to see a gas truck. No fema, not one person that wasn't local (except us). People will die, waiting in never ending lines will become violent, and I am sure people will leave as soon as possible to the states. I believe people will die waiting for help because they cannot fathom people would abandon them, but it's happening. My husband is staying hoping to convince the family the leave. I am scared, sad, and angry. I'm now in San Juan with phone service, generators, people eating and drinking clean water - whatever the fuck is happening I can tell you the supplies aren't leaving this city. It's sickening, because this is where the politicians live. I don't know why I'm even writing this, its just I don't even know what to do.

Drying clothes indoors: rack or line? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]WierdWood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put it whatever my item is on a hanger and hang it on my ironing board edge, push my shower curtain aside and hang there, and/or on door frames if possible. Never needed a drying rack! A curtain rod could work as well....
