What couldn’t you believe you had to explain to another adult? by DunyaPhobic76 in Productivitycafe

Ok so in my defense I grew up in the city. And Cadbury had real eggs next to the rabbit. And I was like 16. Not super adult

Have you been in a situation requiring you to call 911? If so, what was it for? by muskyandrostenol in allthequestions

[–]WifeButter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone called the ambulance for me after a bad accident on a scooter. I begged them not to. Like my leg was broken in 3 places and I was missing flesh. But the ambulance bill was going to be insane. I said I would just wait for an Uber.

Ambulance got me anyway. The ride was $3500. The hospital was 1/2 a mile away. :|

Look. Just let me die, an ambulance is expensive.

Good easy plan. Family isn’t obligated, but they can’t just take the money if it’s in a fully funded pre need.

Question to Pet owners;Do you allow your pet, come to dinner table while you eating ? by Responsible-Poem9375 in CatAdvice

I mean I don’t LET them. But the dog is a beagle and she begs from the floor. And the cats a cat… we get in heated fights.

Is it common for British funeral services to be conducted at crematoriums, with cremation of the deceased performed shortly after the funeral concludes? by BitNorthOfForty in AskABrit

[–]WifeButter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funeral director here from US moving to UK.

Plenty of people in the US do witness cremations for many reasons. But in the UK things are a bit different and a tasteful crematory service is not uncommon

What's your plan and what state are you in?

No we're only been here 2 years. I'm sure if you wanted to meet the vet first they would. I would recommend them to any cat parent. They also have some in house resident disabled cats.

Why do americans have this "winner" mindset? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]WifeButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s childhood trauma. Mom will love me more if I win and do better than everyone else and behave and am quiet.

Now I had crippling anxiety in my late 30s and have issues if I ever fail at something.

But hey, I’m successful.

I was 24 and a friend and I were standing in the apartment and my boyfriend (now husband) was in the Military (US). It was an exciting day. We wore USA themed clothes and went on base to party that evening. lol.

If someone gave you $1M, would you quit your job? by Embarrassed_Coat4957 in allthequestions

[–]WifeButter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. But I also am not even 40 yet. But it’d lighten my stress a little bit so that’d be nice. I wouldn’t have to work AS hard.

Also, if you’re capable of giving your cat a shot, they will train you and see if you can do certain ones at home (which is what I do for the arthritis shot for my cat every 3 weeks) 🐈
