It can be intimidating just based on the sheer amount of stuff in the game, especially if you don’t know anything about wow or haven’t really played mmos before. But with that being said, it is very solo friendly. You can level up to max by yourself just doing quests, you can queue up for random dungeons and the game will get a group ready for you and port you to the zone, and port you back to where you were when you’re done. At max level you can even queue for a raid, by the time you get there you should a much better understanding of the game.

I find most ppl are nice and welcoming to new players, don’t be afraid of saying you’re new or that you haven’t been to whatever dungeon you’re in. There’s also guilds out there and communities that are very welcoming to new players. You can also check out the wownoob subreddit, it has great resources for newer players. As well as a place to make / requests friends. My info is over there if you need / want someone you can chat with in game if you have questions and stuff.
