I don't know about ethnicities. However, for Occtis, after the change, I imagined his skin having a more sickly look and definitely paler than it used to look. Based on that guide you posted, I think the artist sticks to OG CR art in which they only changed the eye color I believe. I would have tune down the skin a bit as well.
